Sayuri stepped into Sukuna's domain, immediately noticing the eerie stillness that permeated the space. Her eyes scanned the vast, shadowy area until she spotted Sukuna lying on the floor, looking decidedly bored.
"Hey," she called out, walking over to him. "Why are you lying on the floor? Aren't you supposed to be all kingly and stuff, sitting on your throne?"
Sukuna rolled his eyes and huffed. "The bones hurt, you know!"
Sayuri laughed, shaking her head. "The great King of Curses, complaining about a little discomfort? That's rich."
"Well, excuse me for wanting to avoid a sore back," Sukuna retorted, propping himself up on his elbows. "You try sitting on a throne made of bones for centuries and see how you like it."
"Fair point," Sayuri conceded, still chuckling. "But seriously, why do you even have a throne made of bones? Trying to up the intimidation factor?"
Sukuna smirked, finally sitting up. "It's all about the aesthetic, Sayuri. You wouldn't understand."
"Oh, I understand," she said, rolling her eyes. "You're like a goth teenager trying too hard to be edgy."
Sukuna raised an eyebrow. "And you're like a kid playing dress-up in her older brother's clothes, trying to be tough."
"Touché," Sayuri said with a grin. "So, what's the plan? I thought we were supposed to go curse hunting."
Sukuna stretched, cracking his neck. "Yeah, yeah, we are. I just needed a break from all the doom and gloom. Even curses need to unwind sometimes."
"Unwind? You?" Sayuri asked, incredulous. "What do you do to unwind? Terrorize a village or something?"
Sukuna gave her a mock look of horror. "Oh, please. That's work, not fun. Sometimes, I just like to lie here and think about how to make everyone's lives miserable in new and creative ways."
"Ah, I see," Sayuri said, nodding seriously. "The mastermind at work. I'm sure it's very taxing."
"Exactly," Sukuna replied, smirking. "But enough about my hobbies. Are you ready to go curse hunting or what?"
"Absolutely," Sayuri said, her eyes lighting up. "Let's go make some curses regret their existence."
"That's the spirit," Sukuna said, getting to his feet. "I knew there was a reason I tolerate you."
"Gee, thanks," Sayuri said dryly. "You really know how to make a girl feel special."
Sukuna shrugged. "It's a gift."
They began walking through Sukuna's domain, the atmosphere shifting as they moved deeper into the darkness. Sayuri glanced at Sukuna, noticing his expression had turned more serious.
"So, any particular reason you're dragging me along for this?" she asked, curious. "I mean, you usually like to do things on your own."
Sukuna glanced at her, a small smile playing on his lips. "Believe it or not, your company isn't entirely unbearable. Plus, you're pretty handy in a fight."
"Wow, such high praise," Sayuri said, pretending to be flattered. "I'm touched."
"Don't let it go to your head," Sukuna warned. "You still have a long way to go before you can match me."
"Yeah, yeah, I know," she said, waving a hand dismissively. "But let's see if we can find some curses to take down. I'm in the mood for a good fight."
Sukuna's eyes gleamed with anticipation. "Now that's something we can agree on. Let's go show these curses who's boss."
