Sayuri entered Sukuna's domain and couldn't find him anywhere. So, she did the smartest, or perhaps the dumbest, thing she could think of: she went to look for him. After wandering for about six minutes in eerie silence, she found herself entering a dimly lit room. Shadows danced on the walls, making the space feel even more ominous.
"Hello?" she called out, her voice echoing off the cold stone walls. No response. But the unsettling feeling that crept up her spine told her she wasn't alone. Her hair was tied up in a tight bun, to keep it from sticking to her neck in the oppressive summer heat.
Without warning, something lunged at her from the darkness. She barely managed to dive back, her reflexes kicking in just in time. As she regained her footing, another attack came from behind, striking her back with a force that nearly knocked her to the ground. She spun around, eyes widening at the sight of two special-grade spirits. Their malevolent energy crackled in the air, sending shivers down her spine. (A/n: Malevolent?)
"Well, isn't this just a delightful surprise," she muttered sarcastically, quickly assessing her situation.
She knew these spirits could easily harm her soul, as it was only her soul present there. With no time to waste, she prepared to exorcise them. Channeling her cursed energy, she launched a barrage of attacks, her movements swift and precise. But these spirits were stronger and more resilient than she had anticipated. They countered her attacks with equal ferocity, their strength and agility putting her on the defensive.
Before she could catch her breath, three more grade one spirits emerged from the shadows, surrounding her. The oppressive atmosphere of the domain seemed to weigh her down, sapping her strength. She could feel her energy waning, her body growing weaker with each passing moment.
Panic surged through her as she realized she was outmatched. Her breaths came in ragged gasps, her vision blurring as exhaustion set in. The fourth spirit lunged at her, claws poised to strike. She braced herself for the impact, but just as the attack was about to land, everything froze.
The oppressive energy in the room shifted, a chilling presence making itself known. In the blink of an eye, the heads, hands, and legs of the spirits were severed from their bodies. Blood sprayed through the air, and the dismembered parts fell to the ground with a sickening thud. The air grew colder, and the malevolent energy that had filled the room dissipated.
Sayuri looked up. Standing before her, emanating an aura of terrifying power, was Sukuna. His expression was one of cold fury, his eyes glinting with a dangerous light.
"The king has arrived," she said, smiling.

Sukuna lunged into a fury of insults, his voice echoing off the walls of the domain. "Who told you to come into this specific room, baka? You could have died! Have you got any idea what would have happened to you if I hadn't come just now?" His words were sharp, "Honestly, do you have a death wish or are you just this reckless all the time?"
His tone was different than usual. It was still harsh, but there was an underlying sternness that hadn't been there before. It was as if he was genuinely worried about her.(A/n: Aweee) Tears welled up in Sayuri's eyes, blurring her vision.(A/n: Pls that is so me T_T) She tried to blink them away, but they only came faster, stinging her eyes and making her cheeks glisten.
Sukuna noticed the change in her demeanor, the way her shoulders slumped and her eyes filled with unshed tears. He realized what he had done. The last time he had made her angry, and now, when she had probably decided to forgive him, he had gone and hurt her again. Amazing job, Ryomen Sukuna. Truly, a masterclass in interpersonal relationships.
He stood there, awkward and unsure, a stark contrast to his usual confident and menacing self. The King of Curses, feared by all, now seemed... apologetic? It was not every day that such a sight was witnessed. In fact, it was downright bizarre.
Sukuna cleared his throat, trying to find the right words. "I... didn't mean to yell," he began, his voice softer, almost hesitant. "It's just... You scared me, okay? Not in a 'I'm afraid of you' way, but in a 'I don't want you to die' way. You're... important." The words felt foreign on his tongue, and he grimaced slightly as he said them.
Sayuri looked up at him, her tears still glistening but now mixed with a hint of confusion. "You care?" she asked, her voice small and incredulous.
Sukuna huffed, crossing his arms over his chest defensively. "Don't get any ideas, Ladybug. It's not like I'm going soft or anything. It's just... If you died, I'd have no one to argue with. And that would be... boring."
Sayuri couldn't help but let out a small, watery laugh at that. "You're such a tsundere, Sukuna," she said, wiping her eyes.
"Tsundere? What the hell does that even mean?" he grumbled, but there was a faint smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"It means you're all tough and scary on the outside but actually care on the inside," Sayuri explained, a hint of teasing in her voice.
Sukuna rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Just... be more careful next time, okay? I can't always be saving your reckless ass."
Sayuri nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Okay, Tuna Fish. I'll be more careful."
