Logan

The next morning, I wake up to the soft light filtering through the curtains. For a moment, I'm disoriented, but then I remember where I am and who I'm with. Charlotte is still asleep, her head resting on my chest, her hair falling softly over her face.

I smile and tighten my arm around her slightly, feeling an overwhelming sense of happiness and contentment. Whatever challenges lie ahead, I know we'll face them together. Right now, in this moment, everything feels just right.

As I settle back into the pillows, the comforting warmth of Charlotte beside me, I feel my eyes grow heavy once more. Her steady breathing and the soft hum of the movie in the background create a lullaby that pulls me back into sleep.

When I wake up again, the sun is higher in the sky, casting a golden glow across the room. I blink a few times, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. Charlotte stirs beside me, and I gently shift to give her more space.

Charlotte

I wake up slowly, the light filtering through the curtains signaling that it's morning. For a moment, I'm disoriented, unsure of where I am. Then, I realize I'm in Logan's room, my head resting on his chest. His steady heartbeat thumps beneath my ear, a soothing rhythm that makes me feel safe and content.

I lift my head slightly, glancing up to see Logan still asleep, his face peaceful and relaxed. The memories of last night flood back to me – the movie, the warmth of his presence, and falling asleep in his arms. A soft smile spreads across my face as I take in the serene moment.

I carefully extract myself from his embrace, trying not to wake him. As I sit up, I stretch and take a deep breath, feeling more rested than I have in a long time. The sight of Logan, still asleep, fills me with a sense of gratitude and warmth.

Quietly, I slip out of bed and make my way to the bathroom to freshen up. When I return, Logan is starting to wake, blinking groggily at the morning light. He looks at me and smiles, a sleepy, endearing smile that makes my heart flutter.

"Morning," he says, his voice rough with sleep.

"Morning," I reply softly, sitting back down on the edge of the bed. "Sleep well?"

"Better than I have in a while," he admits, stretching and yawning. "You?"

"Same," I nod, feeling a blush rise to my cheeks. "Thanks for letting me stay."

"Anytime," he says sincerely, sitting up and running a hand through his tousled hair. "What do you want to do today?"

I ponder for a moment, feeling a mix of excitement and contentment. "How about we grab some breakfast and see where the day takes us?"

"Sounds perfect," he agrees, getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom. "Give me a few minutes to get ready."

"Can I borrow a shirt?" I call out through the bathroom door.

"Yeah, sure," Logan replies.

I step over to his suitcase, rummaging through it until I find a random shirt. As I pull it out, something falls from the suitcase and onto the floor. I bend down to pick it up and realize it's a bracelet – the one I gave him when we were kids, matching the one I still wear all the time.

"You kept it?" I say, surprised, holding the bracelet in my hands.

Logan comes up behind me, his expression softening as he looks at the bracelet. "Yeah," he murmurs. "I've always kept it with me."

I turn to face him, a mixture of emotions swirling inside me – nostalgia, warmth, and a hint of wonder. "I can't believe you still have it," I say, smiling up at him.
