"Dru! Diana!" Daniela yelled out, as she ran into the Noma and Cane's wedding venue.
"Excuse me, ma'am. We are in the middle of an investigation. You cannot come inside this building, right now." A detective told Daniela, as they stood in front of her.
"No, no, it's fine. She's our family." Diana spoke, as she walked up to Daniela. "Di, are you okay?" Daniela asked, pulling her into a hug. "She's gone, Dani..." Diana whispered, hugging her tightly.
Daniela looked over and saw Monet's body laid out on a stretcher.
"Oh my god. Monet, no." Daniela cried, standing over to the stretcher and looking down at Monet's life-less body.
Daniela began to break down cry hysterically, as she grabbed ahold of Monet's hand.
"No! Please... no!" Daniela shouted, in disbelief.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. We have to take her body." A cop said, as Daniela cried.
Diana grabbed Daniela's arm and pulled her back, allowing the ambulance to roll out Monet's body on the stretcher.
"Where is Cane?" Daniela asked, sniffling.
"By the stairs." Diana answered, pointing in the direction and Daniela nodded.
Daniela walked over to the staircase and saw Cane sitting on the steps alone. She sighed, deeply, as she sat down beside and caught his attention.
"Dani?" Cane spoke, surprised. "I'm so sorry, Cane. I... I'm sorry." Daniela voiced, as she wrapped her arms around him and laid her head on his shoulder. "She's gone... she's really gone, ma." Cane uttered, as he fought back tears.
"I'm here, alright? I am right here. I'm not going anywhere." Daniela assured, as she held onto him comfortingly.
Daniela and Cane both held onto each other on the staircase, in a moment of silence.
"Where's Tariq?" Cane asked, breaking the silence. "He's still out, taking care of shit." Daniela answered. "And Gabby?" Cane added. "My grandma is watching her." Daniela replied.
"Can you come back to Monet's with me?" Cane asked.
Daniela hesitated for a moment as she thought about it. She knew Tariq would definitely not approve. But she also thought that Cane shouldn't be alone right now.
