"Lily,"

No reply.

"Lily,"

An eye roll.

"Lily,"

She sighs.

"Lily,"

"What?" She whisks her head to me, "What do you want, Lucas?"

I grin, "Stop ignoring me and answer my question,"

"I don't want to," She huffs and looks out the window again, "Your annoying and so are your questions,"

"I beg to differ," I change the gear and lean back in my seat. "I am charming, not annoying,"

"You're an ass,"

Laughing, I roll down the windows, "Maybe you need some air,"

"What I need is to get away from you as far as possible,"

"Yeah that's not happening,"

She rolls her head to me, "Why are you so...you?"

"Is that supposed to be an insult?"

"I don't know. Is being you an insult?" she lifts a brow then her eyes move down my body like she is finding answers to her own question. I flex my forearms for her and wink causing her to blush and look away.

"Did you find the answer?" I tease. When she doesn't reply, I smile. She may act like she dislikes me but I know she finds me attractive. She tries to hide it, not accept it but her behavior, her blushing cheeks and her traitor eyes gives her away.

We don't talk for a couple minutes as I drive the car to the Hawthorne grounds. The private road leading to the campus is empty. No other cars are on the sight except for grassland on both side. With the windows down, the morning air brushing our hair is cold with a sprinkle of warmth. Lily is leaning her head against the seat, her eyes closed as she let's the wind touch her face.

I resist looking at her but my eyes pull me to her once or fourteen times during the ride. Not that I am counting. We're still twenty minutes away from the campus, I've texted Ryan to get us the permission slip from my brother. He won't be happy, probably call me to his office at the end of the day to ask why I was late but I don't care. I had better things to do then attend History class by Prof Wilcox. That old fox teaches less and sleeps more in the class. I don't want to waste my morning hearing his snore when I could look at my girlfriend.

"Lily," The name slips out of me the minute my mind called her my girlfriend.

She obviously heard it but instead of ignoring like she did in the beginning, she hums.

"You still haven't answered my question. I want to know about your schedule,"

She takes a deep breath as if she is dealing with a stubborn toddler who doesn't know the meaning of no. "Lucas,"

"Yes,"

"If I tell you my schedule, would you leave me alone?"

"Nope. Once I know your schedule, I want to see how many classes we share, free periods we both have so I can take you out for dates-" I look at her, "And spend some time together,"

"You're joking,"

"I asked you to be my girlfriend in front of the entire school. You think I was joking,"

She aggressively sits up and slaps her thigh, "Yes! This whole thing is a joke,"

"You're hurting me babe," She rolls her eyes and settles back on her seat, "I don't get what part of this you don't understand,"
