"Where are you going?" Ryan asks as he watches me take my helmet.
"Out,"
"Yeah I know out but where?"
"None of your business, Ryan," I take my bike keys and wallet from the front bowl by the entrance.
"You're going to see her, aren't you?" he stands behind me.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Ryan doesn't know I've met Lily before. I haven't told him nor does he need to know. My meeting with Lily outside school is a secret. Something only I know, not even her.
The girl who humiliated me in front of everyone.
Well, I wouldn't say I didn't see it coming. I knew she would do it. I wanted her to do it mainly because her entire existence is a challenge for me. She's doing everything not many has ever done with me before. Denying, rejection, calling me a princess. Ha. The last one was interesting.
I take pride that people around me have provided me with everything but her? She's brave, bold and annoying.
"C'mon dude. We both know your lying,"
I stand straight and face him, "And what do you do when I lie?"
He scoffs, "You really want me to ignore and watch you go to her at-" he turns to the wall clock on the right side of the living room. "Eight fourteen on a weekday,"
"It's Wednesday. It's middle of the week,"
"Lucas,"
"Stop. Enough," I turn the knob. "You can stay however long you want. I'll be late." I go to shut the door behind me but end up hearing Ryan's words before it closes, "Where will you even meet her?"
I know where to meet her. It's Wednesday meaning she would be at her part time job like she told me, well she told this to Luke, not me. Let's see what my little bird have for me today. Will she gossip the school event with her buddy Luke or will she let Luke get close to her while she hates Lucas.
I quickly go to the school parking lot, ignoring how one student was getting blowjob in his car, and pick my bike from the Hawthorne's private parking booth. That prick didn't even shut his car door, probably wanting to impress the little blow how brave he is for getting his dick sucked at the school property. I hate people like him who glorify nudeness of their partner for public's eyes.
Lord know if someone tries to see Lily in an intimate position, I'll gauge their eyes out with a fork, then cut their balls and shove both of those together up their throat.
Shaking my head of the view, I settle on my bike, wore my helmet and put the address of her cafe on my phone. It took me twenty minutes to get to the city and ten minutes to reach the cafe. I park my bike right outside the two story building and check my watch. A few minutes remaining till it's nine. Good.
I am here on time.
I try to watch inside the cafe through their glass wall, the interior reminding me of an English bookstore. Wooden chairs with cushions, circular tables decorated with vases. Some are empty, some have artificial flowers. There's a shelf pressed against the brick wall on the right side with recipe books, frames of flowers and pot plants.
There are no customers inside, just two people behind the counter. One who is counting bills, the other wiping the glass shelf. I can't see Lily anywhere. Please don't tell me she left. I check my watch again.
I am not late. How can she leave when she mentioned last time her closing hours. I was wondering where she was when someone sneaks up on me from behind and on defense I lift my hand and grab their arm earning a feminine shriek.
