One Week Later

"It is 10 at night already, Natasha you should leave," I asked my assistant and she nodded with a pretty smile. I stood to wrap my things up and shoved them in my tote bag.

But one thing which was irritating me was my phone. It was ringing again and again. I grabbed it and it was my husband calling...

"What the fuck! Where are you? I've been calling you for the past 5 minutes." He almost yelled through the phone and I kept it away from my ears because I didn't want to be deaf this soon.

"I'm in the hospital only. Just leaving for home. And next time could you scream more loudly because I wasn't able to hear you earlier." Sarcasm was dripping from my words and I heard him chuckling. And then I hung up.

I walked out of my cabin and went straight to my bike. It's been a week since that hug happened and everything after that was a bit different.

I started checking on him every night because his state was not normal, and I was worried.

If I hadn't arrived on time, he would have fainted during the anxiety attack.

Despite my curiosity about his nightmares, I refrained from asking him. He is not one to easily open up; he has constructed an unyielding barrier around himself.

During that week, the silliest thing happened - my heart would flutter whenever he was around. I missed the comfort of his warmth from that night.

As a thank-you gesture, he bought me a Tiramisu, but we didn't discuss it afterwards.

'That gesture meant everything to me' and he did not need to know this. A smile covered my face under the helmet and I was parking my bike in the penthouse.

I got off the bike, dragged myself to the elevator and then out of it to the penthouse. I punched the code and entered but it was utterly silent.

I heard a barking sound and saw my Bronnie running to me. I hugged him and my all tiredness was gone.

I walked into the penthouse and realized that Malhotra hadn't returned and yet he was screaming through the phone.

I sighed and quickly went to my room to freshen up and change into my night dress.
