“Dad, I’m going out of the country for an award function,” I said while he sat, unfazed by my presence behind him.
I just wanted to meet him before I left because I wanted his blessings but I don’t think he is in any mood to even look at me.
“Why is Rudransh not going but you?” he finally spoke not about me but Rudransh.
“He has some important meetings here and requested me to represent both of us,” I told him truthfully but hid the part where he made a deal of giving me the address in return.
What if he tells him not to tell me?
What would I do then because I have to depend on it until I find the bastard who is helping her to hide her digital imprints?
“How long are you gonna be gone?” he spoke without looking at me.
“For a week,” I said and leaned to touch his feet and seek blessings.
“Take care,” he spoke and I gave him a small smile. This is more than enough for me at least for now because I am lacking any warmth in my life and if my father is just saying two words of love to me, I am beyond happy.
“Bye. Take care.” He gave a slight nod and I exited the room.
I met Chachi and others and after that, I left the Malhotra Mansion.
From there I went directly to my office because I had to wrap a few things up before going to New York.
“Shantanu, make sure to keep me posted about every single thing. Rudransh is here but still, if there's any emergency tell me” The thing I did after entering the office was instructing Shantanu what to do in my absence!
