I
ran.
I ran out of the penthouse with the heaviest baggage, a broken heart and a body that was just a costume because my soul had died.
The elevator is making me furious. I am continuously punching the button but it isn't opening. It is getting frustrating now.
I want to get away from here, I can't stay here. My chest feels like someone has put up a stone on it and I feel like puking.
The elevator doors opened and I hastily entered inside. The cold floor underneath my foot made a shiver run down my spine. I looked down only to see I was barefoot.
My eyes are burning, my tears ain't stopping and the grip on the phone makes something break.
I did not dare to look up at myself in the mirror because I knew I was like a disgusting piece of shit right now.
He is my husband. He is my love. He knows everything but how could he even think about me like this?
I can take his filthy words but him tagging me as my father? I should have died before hearing this. This isn't how today was supposed to be.
The elevator is suffocating me and all I want to do is RUN. As far as I can from this place, this life and of all from him.
With a ding sound the elevator opened and I ran out of it. The only thing I was met with was the confused guards to look at me in this situation.
"What happened mam? Are you okay? You need help?" One of them came forward and asked with concern but I just wanted to run from this life and people.
