“Sir, anything else?” Khanna confirmed and I shook my head. A new morning and a fresh start well welcome to Day 1 of persuading your wife who is angry because of your shitty ass behavior.

“Sir, Can I ask you something?” Khanna spoke with hesitation and I looked at him.

“Yes, Khanna. Go ahead.” I said and I turned to him.

“Sir what are we doing at 5 AM outside Shreya mam's apartment on a cold morning.” I chuckled at the poor man because he was really confused.

I leaned on the car and looked at him.

“I am here to jog with your madam. But coincidentally.” I spoke and he was still confused.

“Khanna, go back, your work is done here. I will manage from here.” I spoke while surfing through my phone but he was still looking at me.

“Sir, one question please.” He spoke again and I looked at him. The curiosity on his face was just making me curious to hear his question.

“Hm” I nodded and docked my hands in my pocket to hear him.

“Sir, why has mam been here for the past few years?” His voice was filled with genuine care and I have known him since an eternity now. This man has no mercy for people and him with this voice was my first.

“Well Khanna. I fucked up. My trust for her was blinded by the lies I saw. I did not trust her and made the worst mistake ever. And since then we both are struggling for peace. And here I am standing here trying to repay for my mistakes.” I spoke with a hoarse voice and he heard everything with a crisp nod.

My gaze shifted from him to the apartment where my peace belonged.

“Everything will be fine, Boss. Mam is really strong, I have seen her.” He responded and a smile crept into my face because I knew how strong my wife is.
