"Like 'her body won't fit in your trunk' problems, or 'you like her' problems?" 

"I like her problems" 

"that's not a problem, you're Captain America- go tell her, she probably likes you back." 

"It's not that simple.." 

"what's wrong? and if you don't tell me, you know I'm just gonna find out myself anyway." 

"you cant judge or tell ANYONE. Ok?" 

"wasn't planning on either. what's wrong?" 

"the problem is that 'she'... is actually a he..." 

"oh, cool. why's that a problem? he's straight?" 

"what? straight? how do you not see how this is a problem?!"

"Queer people are generally accepted now. some people are homophobic, but most people don't really care."

 "WAIT REALLY?! that's amazing! also, what's 'homophobic'? also, language." 

"pretty much everyone from your time. it means people who hate on or don't accept the queer community."

 "oh, ok. so people don't really care anymore?"

"Is it Stark?" 

"No! even if it was, he hates me- and we both got our genes from Howard, so in a way, we're sort of like half siblings. gross."

"Oh my god I did not think of that! so who IS it then?"

"-wait no, I want to guess! ok, you once told me that you wanted someone with shared life experience, Bruce and Peter have the experimental superstrength thing- but Peter's pretty young and if it was Bruce, I doubt you would have told me of all people- Thor? He's the oldest of the group, has superstrength, he's even blond with blue eyes- like you, fought in wars and" *gasps in realisation*

*confusion*

Someone who -after fighting enemies from somewhere very cold- fell to their supposed death which was not the fault of the strong blond guy, but he still blamed himself anyway. After landing, bad people found and brainwashed him, convincing him that this was what he wanted."

"it's not Thor. That's oddly speci- wait, you mean Loki?"

"No, why would I think you like Loki? Who fits that description if YOU are the blond one?"

"oh- Bucky."

"and who do you share life experience with?"

"Bucky." 

"who have you known your whole life?"

"Bucky."

"who are you closest to?" 

"Bucky."

"who still exists from the 40s, and is with you as one of the only constants in your life?"

"Bucky."

"and who are you in love with?"

"I knew it. By the way, I had almost this exact same conversation with him. Go tell him."
