Stucky, very fluffy- like the most fluffy I can write. I do have depression and am extremely pessimistic tho so be warned, it does kinda turn to angst before going back to fluff.

Also I did sort of adjust the ages of the Avengers

(warning: I'm Australian and spell 'color' as 'colour')

"Avengers, assemble... the furniture!" The Avengers had just gotten back from their trip to IKEA- during which Thor and Loki proved very helpful as they, Nat and Bucky were the only ones who could pronounce anything. The super soldiers pushed the trollies, or they were going to, but it ended up being Thor, Peter, Bruce and one of Tony's robots while Steve pushed Bucky around as they looked at things together.

Though it took quite a while, the furniture was eventually built and the decorations were either up or organised to be put up by whoever they belonged to.

The team decide to take a break and sit on their new kivik and watch a movie (Cinderella).

When the movie finished, Steve said "has anyone seen Bucky?" no one knew where he was. Steve decided to go check Bucky's bedroom, because that was usually where he was.

Steve walked in to see Bucky sitting in the middle of his new bed, the lights were turned off and the curtains were closed. The room was filled with fairy lights and Bucky was just staring at them happily.

"Buck, what are you doing?" Steve asked, Bucky looked at him, smiling, and simply said "Pretty."

Steve smiled at him "I brought you the stuff we got for your room. There are a few other things too."

"Thanks Stevie. I love you." "I love you too, Bucky." Steve set the stuff aside and crawled onto the bed to give his boyfriend a kiss.

They spent a while setting up the room with thick, fluffy blankets, heaters, pillows and plushies. Everything was Bucky's favourite colour, blue. Even the pot of his new little friend, a small succulent. His first plant.

Bucky had a little drawing desk in the corner, a bookshelf next to it. Only Steve knew about his favourite hobbies, not because they were secret, just because he didn't tell people how much he loved reading, science and art.

Once they were finished, they simply sat on the bed, wrapped up in blankets, reading. Steve read The Hobbit, and Bucky read The Great Gatsby (they're good books, ok?)

A knock on the door came, but neither soldier heard, lost in the world of their books. The door opened to reveal Tony "You know, I didn't really expect the stone-cold super soldiers to be the warm and fluffy type. It's like you stole a stereotypical teenage girl's bedroom straight from a magazine or something. You're literally lying on top of each other."

"Of course you wouldn't expect us to like this sort of thing, it's not like we were deprived of any and all comfort for the past centaury." Bucky deadpanned. Stark simply looked confused "We got frozen for years and were kept either in a cold, harsh lab or a cold, harsh cell, woke up and were closely monitored by SHIELD in a new, unfamiliar world and from there, spent our time either fighting, on the run or both and what little downtime we got was spent sleeping with one eye open in shitty apartments looking out for the many people trying to kill us." Tony just stood there.

"Is that enough or would you like me to go back before you were born? There's plenty to tell, we grew up in the great depression, couldn't afford healthcare, could hardly afford rent and food, we were constantly living in fear because you could and would get arrested or killed if anyone even accused you of being queer, we joined the army, endured excruciating experimental testing, fought Hydra and fell to our deaths in the snow. The end. But oh, no that's not the end because next is the part where I was tortured, stripped of my humanity, kept in a cage and forced to kill like an evil pet. So yes, as people who've been cold and uncomfortable and miserable our whole lives, we like warm fluffy things."
