Angelina
"Viktor what are you doing here." I said wiping the tears off my face.
"I should be asking you that question, why are you walking around in the cold." He asked, "Get in."
Part of me wanted to say no but the other part of me just wanted to get out of the cold.
I opened the car door and slipped into the seat, letting the warmth of the car engulf me.
"Here use my coat." He said wrapping it around me.
As I sat in Viktor's car, the warmth enveloping me and his coat providing comfort, the sudden appearance of him made me both happy but sad.
Minutes passed before he started driving again, I didn't ask him where he was going, because I didn't care, I just wanted to be far away from this place, at least for the night.
The silence in the car was palpable, only broken by the sound of the engine humming softly. My heart fluttered with a mix of emotions, unsure of what to do next, where was my fresh start.
The silence was broken by Viktor asking, "Why were you on the street crying Angelina."
I couldn't hold back the tears as Victor's concerned gaze met mine. And that's when I broke down. I told him everything, tears stream down my face and I couldn't stop.
My voice trembled as I tried to speak, but the words caught in my throat. The weight of everything that had happened crashed down on me, and I felt the floodgates open. Tears streamed down my face uncontrollably, my sobs echoing in the quiet car. I tried to explain, to make sense of the chaos inside me, but all that came out was a jumble of fragmented thoughts and emotions. In that moment, all I could do was let the pain and confusion consume me, my heart laid bare in the rawest of ways.
I knew I could trust him, he was my father's best friend and he was my best friend too.
