Angelina

I'd fell asleep on the floor next to the door, but when I woke up I was on the bed, and the idea of someone from this house touching me without my knowledge made my skin crawl.

I was still in bed while the morning light shone through the window, reminding me that there was still hope. I did it once, I can do it again. It wasn't hard last time.

Just then I heard a knock at the door, which was so fucking unbelievable since the lock was outside of the door and they can come in anytime they want. So I didn't answer.

Whoever was on the other side didn't knock again they opened the door.

Alena, "Good morning," she said, her voice barely above a whisper, a sense of unease lingering in the air as the door creaked open.

Sitting up on my bed I replied, "Hi."

The room went silent. Maybe because we haven't seen each other in a while. Late time I saw her was when Kratos bit me. Then she left, maybe for the winter time.

"Do you need anything?" I asked.

Really why is she just standing there saying nothing.

"Am, right yeah, you have to come downstairs for breakfast." She replied rubbing her head.

"No thanks. I'm not hungry." I lied.

Truth is im really hungry I hadn't eaten anything since yesterday and whatever Miksam gave me wasn't helping but, and I'm not going to eat anything they offer me, I'd face anything than share a table with them again.

"Okay." She said before leaving.

I laid on my bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, contemplating my next move. I'm going to have face them one day, but that day isn't today. After what happened last night, I don't want to see them and I'm sure they don't want to see me.

The room felt suffocating, the silence deafening, as I grappled with the looming inevitability of facing them.

A few minutes had passed when the door opened again.

"You don't have a choice, you have to come down for breakfast." Alena said as soon as she stepped in.

Her words made me laugh. I knew Nicolas told her that but I don't care.

"I told you, I'm not hungry," I reiterated firmly.

She paused, inhaling deeply. "Angelina, please, let's not make this worse. Just come d..."

"No! I said I'm not hungry!" I interrupted loudly, frustration bubbling. "Get out!"

"Angelina..."

"Get out!" I yelled, my voice filled with a mix of anger and desperation, the words echoing in the tense atmosphere of the room. The intensity of the moment hung heavy in the air, a clash of wills reaching its breaking point.

And with her leave, a wave of relief washed over me, allowing me a moment to catch my breath. The weight of the confrontation lifted slightly as the door closed behind her once more.

In that moment, I could sense the heaviness of her departure, the unspoken tension lingering in the air. Despite my outburst, a pang of guilt tugged at my conscience, knowing the hurt I had caused with my sharp words. The conflicting emotions swirling within me added to the complexity of the situation, leaving me feeling both liberated and burdened by the exchange.

A few minutes later, the door creaked open once more. This time, Alena didn't enter, it was two men, dressed in black, who strode purposefully towards me and grabbed me.

"Hey! Let go of me!" I shouted, my voice laced with fear and defiance.

They lifted me up from the bed, their grip firm as they began to lead me towards the door. The sense of helplessness and confusion engulfed me, my heart racing as I kicked, screamed and struggle against their hold, the room spinning around me.

"Put me down!" I demanded as they guided me towards the stairs.

As we reached the bottom, a sudden jolt caused them to drop me, and seizing the opportunity, I tried to run back up the stairs, but one of them swiftly caught hold of me.

Once again, I found myself lifted from the ground, my heart pounding in my chest, as they carried me forcefully towards the dining room. The sense of dread and uncertainty intensified with each step, the adrenaline coursing through me as I struggled against their grasp.

When they made it to the table they dropped me on the chair opposite to Nicolas, and my breath hitched in my throat. The tension in the room was concrete, the silence heavy with unspoken words hanging between us.

I broke eye contact with him and tried to stand up but was immediately pushed back down onto the chair by the man standing at the side of me.

Everyone was looking at me and when I finally sit back into my chair they said, "Good morning Angelina." In unison.

I on the other hand said nothing.

No words exchange for a while, I just looked down at my hand, and left my breakfast untouched.

"Angelina," Nicolas's voice cut through the tense air.

I looked up meeting his gaze.

"Nicolas," I responded, my voice softer than usual, filled with a mix of emotions.

"You have to eat," he insisted.

"I'm not hungry," I replied, my stomach churning with anxiety as I looked away, avoiding his gaze, the weight of the situation pressing down on me.

"Just eat some," he said with concern, his expression a mix of worry and puzzlement.

"I'm. Not. Hungry," I repeated firmly, trying to convey my lack of appetite.

It felt like only him and I were in that room at that moment.

"Just fucking eat!" he suddenly screamed, the outburst startling me as his hand slammed on the table, the sound echoing in the tense room.

"I said I'm not hungry!" I shouted back, my frustration boiling over as I pushed my plate off the table, the crash of the shattering porcelain adding to the escalating air in the room. The shards scattered across the floor, mirroring the shattered atmosphere between us.

Everyone at the table looked at the plate on the floor.

"Angelina go upstairs." Nicolas said taking a deep breath sitting back in his chair.

I didn't waste a second before getting up and walking back upstairs.
