As I'm about to open my front door I see my neighbor Alexander leaving his apartment.
He turned to walk down the hall when he saw me, he looked confused.
"You're home early." He said stopping by my door.
Alexander is my neighbor, and partly my friend, he towers above the rest, bringing his unique charm wherever he goes. I think everyone can tell he was a class clown once in his life, but it isn't a bad thing, he always knows how to make everyone laugh.
He is a hilarious guy with a head full of brown hair and striking blue eyes. He also works out which I think he should be heading to the gym.
When I didn't reply he said, "No way. You got fired again."
He started to laugh, "isn't it only one week since you got this job."
As Alexander continued to laugh, his laughter echoed down the hallway, drawing the attention of a few other neighbors passing by. Some peeked out of their doors, curious about the source of the commotion, and when they saw it was just Alexander they wasn't amused at all.
Seeing the unimpressed expression on their faces, Alexander tried to catch his breath between chuckles. "Man, you always keep things interesting around here," he managed to say, wiping a tear from his eye.
At this point, I couldn't help but crack a smile to myself, realizing the comedic effect of the situation.
"Yeah, yeah whatever, just because you can keep a job doesn't mean anything, I'm still learning." I said, and he laughed again.
"For a whole year, I don't think so."
After the laughter subsided, I gave him a playful nudge and a knowing smile before heading inside my apartment.
As I stepped through the door, I was met with the familiar sight of my sister holding seven months old Avelina in her arms. The little one's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she reached out towards me, her tiny fingers grasping at the air.
Avelina's tiny fingers wrapped around mine, filling the room with a sense of warmth and joy.
"Finally you're home." Anya said as I reached her.
"Yes I'm glad I'm home as well. But what are you doing here." I say taking Avelina in my arms.
"You have to take her for the weekend. I haven't gotten in sleep in days."
Anya's sudden request to take care of Avelina for the weekend caught me off guard, but I couldn't resist the chance to spend time with my adorable niece. "Of course she wanted me to watch her. Why else would she be here.?" I chuckled to myself, knowing that this impromptu babysitting gig was about to begin.
"Okay bye." Anya walked out the door not waiting for a response.
And I laughed.
"What did you do to your mother." I said, playing with Avelina hair.
This little one has the softest, pale skin that looks so delicate under the sunlight. Her smile is just too cute, lighting up her face with joy. Her eyes, a warm shade of brown, sparkle with curiosity and wonder.
Despite her tender age, she already has a bit of light brown, wispy hair that adds to her charm. Every time she grins, it's like a ray of sunshine, showcasing her beautiful smile that melts hearts. Just imagining her, she sounds like a precious gem, full of innocence and sweetness, like a baby angel in the making.
And she looks just like her mother.

I was hotting up some milk for Avelina when my phone rang.
"Good night Vikor." I said as soon as I picked up my phone, "Don't tell me you already found a job for me."
"Yes I did, and you're going to love it." He paused in thought, "I think."
My curiosity about the job grew the more I thought about it. Because what does he mean he 'thinks' I'm going to like it. I literally hate every job I work at.
"Okay, tell me what it is." I said.
"A fashion model." He paused probably waiting for my reaction.
I didn't have a reaction, I didn't have anything to react to.
"I've been thinking about it for a while, and I thought it would be interesting, and it would also be easy to keep. All you have to do is take some picture, which will be displayed on a magazine, billboards and more then all you have to do is model, simple."
I hesitated, wondering if the job would be enjoyable. Yes I was taken aback but maintained my composure, contemplating the unexpected offer. With a mix of apprehension and determination, I decided to give it a shot.
"Fine, I'll do it." I told him.
"That's great. You'll start after the weekend. I'll message you all the details about it later, okay bye." He said gleeful, "and tell Avelina I said hey." Was the last thing he said before hanging up.
As I stood there, contemplating the new job opportunity, I heard a faint cry coming from the living room where I left Avelina. Then I remembered she was hungry. Without hesitation, I picked up the bottle from the microwave, gently putting her in my arms, cradled her, and started feeding her.
As I looked into the baby's eyes, a sense of calm washed over me, and I realized that this unexpected moment was a glimpse of the new journey and hopefully I can keep this one forever.
I think I might, it's been a dream of mine since I was little.
