The Grimes baby wailed loudly in Maggie's arms. No matter how hard the woman tried the baby would cry and cry. Lana walked towards the Maggie and the baby. she needs food Lana thought with a shake of the head as she looked down at the baby while Glenn rubbed comforting circles on Lana's back.
"May I?" Lana asked with a cracked voice as she extended her arms slightly. Maggie nodded and carefully handed the baby off to her.
"Let me see the baby," Hershel said as Lana carefully cradled the baby in her arms. Lana nodded and walked over to Hershel, being careful to support the baby's neck and legs.
"What are we gonna feed it? We got anything a baby can eat?" Daryl questioned as he walked adjacent to Lana.
"Good news is she looks healthy." Hershel examined the baby. Lana wished Lori was here to meet her baby girl. "But she needs formula, and soon, or she won't survive."
"Nope. No way." Daryl shook his head. "Not her, we ain't losing nobody else. I'm going for a run." Daryl said as he slung his crossbow over his shoulder.
"I'll back you up." Maggie stood by.
"I'll go too," Glenn added, his hands on his hips.
"Okay, think where we're going," Daryl replies. "Beth. Eden." Daryl turns to the Greene twins, gesturing them to follow. "Kid just lost his mom. Dad ain't doing so hot."
"We'll look out for him," Eden speaks for her sister with a nod. Beth nods in understanding as well.
"Thank you," Daryl mumbled before turning back to the group. He glances at Lana "Keep an eye on Lana too. She came out pretty rough." He adds, his voice raspy.
"Of course," Beth replied immediately. Daryl nodded as a thank you before turning back to the group.
"You two get the fence! Too many pile up, we got ourselves a problem." Daryl pushed around the two prisoners.
He turned on his heels "Glenn, Maggie vámonos!"
As the couple was fixing to leave Rick suddenly grabbed his axe and stormed into the prison. "Rick!" Lana yelled sternly. The man simply ignored her and stomped into the prison.
