"We got what we needed."The governor smirked as he walked into the room. Lana's heart dropped at the man's statement as she took steps back, frightened by the man's sudden reappearance. The man looked at Lana's anxious figure and smiled in an attempt to be reassuring "It's okay, you can see your friends now." Lana looks up at the man slowly chills running up her spine as she makes eye contact with him.
The governor walked up to Lana and forcefully grabbed her, causing her to wince. She wiggled slightly as the governor practically dragged her out of the room, trying to get out of the man's tight grasp. The Governor's henchmen walked by his side. She could feel their eyes staring at her, although she couldn't tell whether they looked at her in sympathy or malevolence.
Theycomeupon a door, the governor swings the door open and drags Lana inside. She lets out a soft yelp at the men's harsh behavior. Once inside she immediately notices a battered Glenn who is sitting beside Maggie. Her heart drops once more as she notices that she's wearing Glenn's shirt. Maggie looks up at Lana with teary eyes of guilt while Glenn stares at the governor angrily, fury building inside him as the governor harshly pushes Lana around. A tear slides down Lana's cheek at the depressing sight of the two.
The governor lets go of Lana's wrist, causing her to sigh at the loss of pressure. The man cups Lana's face with his hands, "See, they're okay just as I promised." He hums. Lana shudders, leaning away from the man's touch.
Out of the corner of her eye, she sees Glenn begin to retaliate, but that's quickly cut short when the Governor's men aim their guns at him. The governor plants a forced kiss on Lana's forehead. He then gets one last look at Lana before pushing her towards the couple. Immediately Lana trips over a deceased walker she had yet to notice. The men snicker as she scrambles away from the walker anxiously, nearly everything seeming to frighten her at that moment.
Glenn's eyes move back and forth between Lana and the guns pointed at him. Once the men had removed their aim and began to leave Glenn immediately rushed towards Lana. He grunts in pain as he moves towards her, barely able to move without pain seizing his body.
Glenn crouched as he cautiously reached towards Lana, being careful not to scare her. Once Lana notices the man's innocent intentions she wraps her arms around the man's neck and bursts into tears once again. Glenn lets out a small groan at the tightness around his neck, although he ignores it for the sake of Lana. Maggie slowly approached the two as they hugged each other tightly. Glenn made eye contact with his girlfriend worriedly as he stroked Lana's hair comfortably as she cried into his tense shoulder.
