Jeremiah

Soon after Amy left, I started pacing back and forth in the house trying to calm down.

"She's gonna be okay right?" I kept on asking Vanessa who was doing the same thing as me.

"Look, we promised her that we had this under control and that we knew what to do so let's go to sleep and we'll wake up and start the plan like we're supposed to." Vanessa said going up the stairs, and I did the same. That night sleep did not come fast.

The next morning Vanessa and I both woke up feeling calm unlike the night before, we looked at each other and started calling Amy's name loud enough to wake up the neighbors.

"AMY!!!!!? Where Are You!!!!!?" Vanessa was singing the name as we both were trying not to laugh, we were doing the same thing for about half an hour before there was a knock at the door. We got serious and looked scared like we were suppose to.

"Jeremiah?" I heard my father's voice calling me from outside, I ran and opened the door.

"Dad." I said looking scared than I did before Amy left.

"Son, what's going on here?" he asked looking worried after seeing my face.

"It's Amy." I said letting the fake tears dripped down my face.

"What about her? What's going on?" He asked me.

"She's gone dad. She's gone, and it's all thanks to you." I said and I could hear Vanessa trying not to laugh in the living room.

"What do you mean gone?" he asked me.

"Stop acting dumb. She left, I woke up and she's not here." I said letting some anger come out.

"We have to call the police," he said.

"Well no Sherlock." I said sarcastically as my dad rushed inside to see if I was telling the truth. When he saw Vanessa inside he stopped, "Why are you here?" he asked looking at her.

"Amy wanted me to spent the night and this morning she was gone. I believe it's all your fault." She said crying and my dad started calling Amy's name. He spent about half an hour doing that until he called the police, before you know it, it was on the news that Amy was missing. Vanessa and I were taken to the police station to answer questions. After everything was done, Vanessa went home while I went up to my room since Amy's place was out of option. I went up to my room, locked the door and pulled out the map Amy gave me. According to the map Amy was still running and wasn't even close to taking a rest, I wanted to hear her voice so bad that I thought I was going crazy until I heard a knock on the door.

"The fuck you want dad?" I asked not caring about my language.

"Honey, it's me open the door." I heard mom said from the outside. I got up and open the door.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" She asked me.

"I don't know. It's all his fault." I told her.

"You really cared about her didn't you?" She asked me.

" I do." I told her.

"Can I tell you a little secret?" She asked me.

"Sure." I said not knowing what she was about to tell me.

"I'm going to divorce your dad, and I wanted your opinion." She said.

"Are you serious?" I asked her smiling.

"Look, I know a little about what happened. I'm sorry for not doing anything about it anytime sooner, but I didn't think your father would take it that far. Why does it feel like there's something you're not telling me?" She asked me.

"What you mean" I asked her.

"Are you sure you don't know where Amy is?" She asked me.

"Why would you ask me that?" I asked her.

"It's only fair that you would know because she cares about you too much to not let you know where she was going and why." She said looking at me.

"Good night mother." I told her not wanting to lie to her and not wanting to tell her the truth either.

"So I'm right?" She asked me smiling.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I told her before Austin walked in the room.

"Hey, wanna go shoot some hoops?" he asked me.

"No." I told him.

"I know your girl's missing and all, but you can't stay in here forever." He told me.

"Wanna bet?" I asked him.

"Fine, I'll stay in here with you." He said and he didn't leave until night time.

I spent the night awake talking to Vanessa who was up for the same reason as I was. Amy was suppose to call and she said that if she didn't then something had gone wrong and there was a change of plan. I spent the night awake and had to go to school to meet with Vanessa because I knew something had happened to Amy. The week went like that with no call and that's when I knew that she was in danger or something had happened because that wasn't the plan. I decided to wait for next week to come and if she didn't call I already knew what I was going to do. I was very observant at my dad especially, and I knew he was up to something, if only I could know what it was. Vanessa and I were going crazy because Amy hadn't call and police weren't doing their job. I waited until Monday before telling Vanessa my plan.
