Chapter 14: Amy
The first thing I did when I woke up was look around to make sure that I wasn't being watched or anything. After that, I opened the bag and pulled out a bag of crackers and just sat down eating and thinking. In my mind I tried to picture my mother somewhere safe and happy waiting for me even if I knew that it wasn't anywhere near what was actually happening.
"Mom wherever you are right now I hope that you're okay. You didn't really think I was just going to take the money and live a happy life, did you? Now since you've always wanted me to be real and honest with you about my feelings why not start now? When I find you, I swear I will beat the living crap out of you for doing this. You could have simply change things back around but no you had to go and leave." As soon as I realized I was talking out loud, I shut my mouth and put the rest of the food away not really feeling hungry. I looked at the watched on my wrist and noticed that I had been sleeping for longer than I had planned. I went back in the cabin and cleaned up my stuff making sure not to leave any evidence that I was here at all. I did one last checking before I went out. I looked all around me and noticed how peaceful it was. I looked both ways until I finally realized which way I was supposed to go. I looked at the sky and asked God to please keep me safe. I started running not knowing when I would get the chance to sleep again.
