A true romantic will break the rules for the right reasons. He will not conform to the ideals bestowed upon him by society. Chapter 13: Jeremiah
I waited until I heard my dad's car drove away before letting Vanessa in the house. As soon as she stepped in, she started looking around.
"Not bad for a pastor's kid." She said looking at me.
"Thanks I guess, my room's this way we should hurry." I told her leading her up to my room.
"So, how long will you be gone?" She asked me. "Until I find her and bring her back here."
"Look this is crazy." She said walking around and looking at everything in the room.
"Oh, well. Are you going to help me or look around the whole time?" I asked her getting the bag out of the closet. We spend the next two hours packing and planning on what I was going to do.
"I'll stop by each cabin and look inside to see if I notice any signs of her."
"Um, what will your dad have to say about this?" Vanessa asked me.
"Who knows, I don't really care, in fact if anything happens to Amy he won't have to say anything because I will get him arrested." I told her.
"That would be very interesting. When was the last time you drew?" She asked me.
"Can't remember, but I need to catch some sleep before I leave tonight so just wake me up when it's time." I told her drifting off to sleep. When I woke up, I noticed Vanessa standing and looking over me.
"You didn't wake me up." I said getting up.
"You had just about one minute and thirty seconds left, so I was waiting." She said not moving from where she was standing over me. I got off the bed and went straight into the shower. When I was done, I got dressed and went over the plans again with Vanessa.
"Now remember, when dad gets here and he doesn't see me, you're the first person he would call because we've been round each other a lot.
"I know what to do, now shut the fuck up and go find my best friend."
I gave her a big hug and looked out the window, it was dark outside lucky I had flashlights with me.
Before I knew it, I was in the woods alone looking around. I didn't know what I expected but there was no sign of Amy, so I started running. When I reached the first cabin after an hour or so, I went inside and made sure to look around so I wouldn't get any surprises. When I noticed that everything was right I fixed myself a place to sleep thinking of Amy.
