Please don't give me words; give me a hug. Don't tell me that I'm holding up so well; break down with me and admit our shared wretchedness. Don't feign some bright mountain top; walk with me through the dark valley where neither of us can utter a word."

Chapter 22: Vanessa
"We understand that Amy was your best friend but do you have any idea of where she might be hiding?" I looked at the reporter and shook my head.
"Look she was my best friend, and she still is. Her whereabouts are none of your business." I told him.
"So, that means you do know where she is. Why don't you just tell us and make life our easier?" he asked me.
"Why don't you just leave me the fuck alone and make my life easier?" I asked him.
"Look, we just needed some answers as to where she might be, do you or do you not know where she is?" He asked again.
"Will you or will you not leave me alone?" I asked him using the same tone of voice with him.
"You can't answer a question with a question." He told me.
"If you would stop asking me all these questions I wouldn't have to answer a question with a question, now would I?" I asked him before smiling to myself knowing that I was making him mad.
"We'll see again tomorrow." He said before getting into his car and driving away. As soon as he was gone, I took out my phone and texted Ms. Ezekiel which was by far the dumbest mistake I have ever made.
