"You can't do that. I'll just call the police and you'll get arrested. You're punching an innocent civilian, you know? And on precious Nari's property of all places." His voice was mocking. "He might face some charges as well."
"...Minoru, what do you want?" I asked.
"I just wanted to have a bit of fun with an old fling is all. You've gotten quite beautiful since back then, you know. I'm not really into guys, but I'd do it with you."
I grimaced. "My past self was a fool. You're disgusting. I should've known."
"That's so mean, Narihira! I thought we had fun in the past!"
"...yeah, maybe. But the past is the past. You should have stayed there. Now, I'll ask you to leave one more time. If you don't, I'll call the police. You'll be considered trespassing on my precious property."
"Using my threat against me, huh? I'll leave. It's not fun here anymore anyway. You won't fall for my flirting, your big friend won't stop glaring at me, and your little friend too. Rikiya, was it? He's quite annoying. Like a little chihuahua who won't shut the hell up. Tell them all bye for me, that boring brunette too. I forgot he was even there half the time."
I pushed Anzai off of Minoru. Then I slapped the purple haired bastard as hard as I could.
"You do NOT talk about my friends that way. Get the hell out before I kick you out. I have a mean kick, too. Go ask that yakuza boss who went into hiding after I destroyed his chances of having future children."
Minoru rubbed his cheek while staring at me, wide-eyed. "You...You have gotten quite terrifying... I guess your friend isn't the only scary thing about you. This isn't fun at all. I'm leaving like you wanted. Let's never see each other again."
"Good riddance." I dusted off my hands while he left through the door.
Anzai grabbed my hand and rubbed the red skin. "I should have protected you better..."
"It was my own fault, like always. You always protect me anyway. It feels rewarding to fight my own battles sometimes."
A small smile appeared on his lips. "You did well kicking him out. It looked like his legs were trembling when he left."
"I hope they were," I beamed.
He raised my hand to his face. "Narihira... I don't want to fight with you anymore..."
"...were we really fighting?"
"You were ignoring and avoiding me and obviously looked angry with me... If that's not fighting, then what is?"
"I've been upset at you, but it's not like we've been yelling at each other. You refuse to be mean to me anyway."
"Yeah, because..." He cut himself off.
"Because?" I leaned closer, trying to see his face behind my hand.
He shook his head and gently let go of my hand. I frowned. I grabbed his face and made him meet my eyes.
"This is exactly why I'm upset! You never tell me your feelings! Isn't it about time you're honest with me? Why won't you tell me how you're feeling?"
"...don't I tell you sometimes?"
"That's not what I mean! I mean you never tell me how you feel about me! Your true feelings! You care about me, but why? Why won't you say it?!"
He stared at me, looking confused as he always had been lately. I let go and turned away. I give up...
"Narihira..." He grabbed my arm. I turned and he started getting on his knees. "I'm sorry... I'm truly sorry... I'm still not sure what you want me to say... I care about you, I always will... You acting cold and avoiding me hurts so much..."
