A/N

This chapter is a Miles POV.

Miles was happy that he was able to spend time with Wright again, it was nice spending time with everyone else too but Miles had missed being alone with Wright.

"Excuse me Wright, could you help me carry these folders please? There's quite a lot."

"Sure, let me take those and we can go upstairs."

When Miles finally reached his office he and Wright sat down immediately. Miles suggested making some tea, he missed having a drink and having a chat.

"Edgeworth let me make the tea."

Miles still wasn't used to Wright calling him Edgeworth, it gave him a pang of pain every time he heard it. Miles himself nearly slipped up at times and would call Wright Phoenix. He would always cut himself off and try to fix his mistake. Wright now felt unnatural to him which was ironic considering during the earlier times Phoenix had felt unnatural to him too.

Miles watched Wright wander around his office searching for the teabags, he looked in the usual spots. Before Miles had 'left' Wright and him used to make tea a lot, he missed those times. Miles regretted leaving nearly every day, it never left his mind, but now he was trying to make up for it and trying to rebuild all the relationships he had ruined.

"Edgeworth? Edgeworth?"

Miles snapped out of his deep thoughts.

"Sorry you seemed in a trance, I was going to ask where the teabags are."

"Oh! I just remembered, they emptied out my office and moved my teabags downstairs, I should really get them bag they're quite expensive."

"Oh..."

Miles' heart felt heavy hearing Wright sigh, all the bad memories rushed back to him but Miles tried to ignore them. He stood up and paced around the room, skimming over the shelves and finally standing by the window.

"Umm... Edgeworth? Are you ok? You don't seem to be doing so well."

"Oh! No- no I'm fine Wright, I'll go make some tea from downstairs and bring it to you."

"Alright then, I'll begin reading some of the case files."

Miles made his way downstairs, it was late so the building was quiet now, apart from a few other prosecutors on their computers and some police officers at their desks. The walls had been freshly painted, all the old stains that Miles had gotten used to seeing had disappeared. Everything reminded him about what he did.

Miles spent about five minutes making the tea, he made sure to make it just how Wright liked it. Slowly but surely Miles was determined to build up his relationship once again.

Miles walked back upstairs carefully balancing the teacups in his hands, he didn't want to have to clean out a stain from his clothes.

It didn't take long for Miles to reach back into his office, inside Wright was busy reading all of the different documents. He was so concentrated in reading that he didn't even see Miles walk into the room. Miles waited for a reaction but once he realised he wouldn't get any he decided to just call out Wright's name.

"Wright? Hello? I've been standing here for a few minutes now."

Wright began to chuckle and snapped out of his concentration.

"Sorry Edgeworth I was so invested I didn't even realise you came in."

"U-uhm no it's fine here just take your tea."

Wright took the tea and thanked Miles with a smile, Miles couldn't help but feel all warm and bubbly. Every time Miles was near Wright he always felt a warm feeling from within him, a feeling that was very unfamiliar to him.

Miles and Wright got to talking about the case, it felt just like the old times. Both of them talking about their work and nothing else in the world mattered. They drank their tea and continued to sit.

It was about midnight now, Miles was exhausted. He had spent hours and hours talking with Wright, skimming over his notes and trying to build up a case. Now his eyes felt heavy and he could barely keep his head up. However, once he looked over Miles could see that Wright was in an even worse condition. His eyes were practically closed and the papers he was holding in his hands kept dropping.

"Wright? You're exhausted should I take you home?"

"N-no I'm fine..." Wright's head slowly drooped before he snapped himself back up.

"Wright please you can barely stay awake. Let me take you home so you don't have to stay here for the night."

After some more persuasion Wright finally agreed to go home. Miles decided that whilst Wright was clearing away the files he should take the teacups back downstairs.

He made the same journey through the stairs and back to where he picked up the teacups. Quickly, Miles placed them down and rushed back upstairs.

Once he reached is office again Miles saw quite a sight, right in front of him Wright was collapsed on the sofa. He had already begun lightly snoring and Miles knew from previous experience that there was no waking him up now.

Luckily, Miles kept a spare blanket around his office for when his shifts were longer than usual. He carefully placed his blanket onto Wright as to not disturb him, it felt wrong to just leave him in the office all alone so Miles sat down on his chair at his desk.

He picked up the files that Wright had ordered and sat down to read them, half an hour later Miles succumbed to the exhaustion and placed his head on his desk. With the last thing he saw being Wright, Miles closed his eyes and fell asleep.

It was just the two of them...
