He lay upon his bed,
Oh the warm pillow and cold sheets embracing,
In the soft dim glow of moonlight shining,
The monster stirred beneath,
Lively and awake,
It's eyes blank and dark as void swallowing souls,
Void no speck of light could lighten,
As his mind spoke,
"My Life is a despair, Oh noble Beast~"
"A thundering storm and filling ruthless jest~"
"Goddess of Betrayal shining her forsaken blessing~"
"Allies turned foes and love shattered in pieces of hatred~"
In shadows dwellings and cavern,
His soul seeks,
Seeks the warmth of the monster underneath. He lay upon his bed,
He breathes the air musky,
Air tinted with disdain and darkness,
A room crowded with two yet engrossed in endless pain,
Voices murmuring in his mind,
Voices that seek intrusion,
Voices that seek to draw crimson of his heart,
Weighing his heart against a feather was he,
Sanity's edge as he abides,
The monster's voice a low growl,
Filled with darkness and sympathy unknown,
"Your anguish, boy, oh I know of it~"
"I know of it since the old days, days of late nights~"
"I know it since the sun was clouded~"
"Beneath your bed I watched your fall~"
"Heard your wails corrupt with blood of others~"
"With scales as dark as midnight and moon's shine~"
The monster's eyes an end of light fading,
"Oh boy, I have lingered your dreams forever~"
"Feeding on your muffled screams~"He lay upon his bed,
He spoke again as his words resonate a trembling plea,
"Devour me, oh noble Monster~"
"Set me free of this cruel life and guide me~"
"Guide me to the underworld where the shadows dwell~"
"Where echoes of gruesome past no longer exist~"
"Devour me, oh noble Monster~"
"Consume my pain and end my suffering~"
"In your spiralling abyss let me strive~"
"The world of hurt I shall leave by~"
"Offer me the peace of your serene dark realm~"He lay upon the bed,
The monster sighed,
His breath chilly and he snarled,
"To take your soul and end your mindful will~"
"Would be a mercy to your suffering, Boy~"
"A final longing rest from the torment across your chest~"He lay upon the bed,
But he knew the truth till the fateful end,
Not even shadows can pretend the existence,
Existence of something long broken and lost,
To heal wounds of trust betrayed,
Or calm the storm that raged within him,
Till his death,
Oh till his Black Death.~ Sapphirus
