This heart is a restless wanderer,
Seeks solace unseen,
Should she return it shall never let her sever the thread so keen,
A drifter's spirit,
Lost forever in fleeting streams,
Let it roam wild,
Sapphire vanishes into a dream,
The dawn wind whispers an age old hymn,
Yet misses the touch of her hairs,
Grown dim,
The breeze lingers the same,
Yet bears the ache,
No trace and no essence of her,
No path left to take.Your purity humbles me,
And your grace my command,
I walk as your eternal shadow,
Through changing ages and drifting sands,
Strangers rejoice my fleeting climb,
While my kin burn with envy so lost,
Timeless as time,
Moments that stretch,
Each becoming an endless fight,
Burdened by yesterdays that haunt my night,
Sins are like anchors that drag my name,
Yet life flows on as a ceaseless flame,
My pieces speak of youth's sweet ache,
Your absence forever my intoxication to take,
Wine holds no allure,
Like water it shall flow,
Yet in your void even my silence glows,
It glows and glows and glows,
Caskets rising where my memories sleep. You're unbound,
Carefree,
And divine,
I write of you in verses you decline,
Yet you read,
You smile,
You turn away,
Leaving my words to drift astray. An empty room now haunts my house,
Perfume in liquor, so rare so mystical,
A void where wisdom once roamed,
A shroud of mourning lines the floor,
Only books remain,
Their truth no more,
The elixir of love,
All seek to know of,
But where's the notion for my pain to show?
Burn away the letters,
Let the flames rise,
I've held no patience for hollow goodbyes,
Speak of sorrows and the world may hear,
Mine are too faint,
Too low and near,
A friend bereft of mother's embrace,
And I become a stranger to my own space,Why chase what comes too near?
Why long for what holds no fear?~ Sapphirus
