Karl's pov

I was in my office , tryna make the necessary preparations to head back , we have been here in the city long , so it was time to go back .
And officially begin the tutoring of Aurelia.
I asked her and she said she was ready so I guess a simple schedule shouldn't hurt.

My thoughts broke when lia barged in with  the lady ,both dressed as they were going out .

"So you wanna go to the City..for a fun hangout and you want me to come "

"Yes" they both nodded.

"I am busy ,right now "

"Dad please"

"No lia , not right now "

Aurelia sulked at my words , she spun around and held the gown of the lady burrying her face in it .

"Sheesh , your such a old buzzer duke ,look at lia ,how could you refuse such a sweetheart " the lady commented picking lia up .

I sighed, and went towards lia.
"Dad is sorry, lia ."

She was silent sifting even closer to the lady .

"Ok fine let's go "

"Really " she finally smiled.

"Hmm "

"He he , let's go dad "

I opened my hand as to gesturing her to come to me .

"No ,stay away" the lady commanded.

"I am her father you know "

"And I am her mother you know"

"Not yet "

"So what I will be"

"Damn it I am not going to marry you if you steal my lia away "

"No " lia shouted.
"Father here take me but marry her "
She continued.

I looked at the lady her mouth was wide open as she was betrayed.
I laughed ,what a Chaos.

"What the , I feel betrayed" The lady pouted.

A kiss on cheek by lia was enough for her to come back to her usual self , she broadly smiled handing lia to me .

"We must eat those stuffed rolls , they are the best , I used to love them when I was a child " the lady said being enthusiastic .

"That's the tenth dessert shop we are visiting " I declared.

"I thought we were here to have fun , not to eat " I continued.

"But..."

"Yes lady , let's go ,no more sweets " lia agreed.

I nooded.

"How about an opera " I asked .

"Let's go , sounds fun " lia added.

"What about you lady "I asked looking at her

"Oh if you guys want to " She said shrugging.

The opera finished and lia was soundly asleep.

I enjoyed it and lia enjoyed the first half too until she was asleep .
But something was off and that was the lady . She had been sulking and sighing all the time .

As I carried lia in my arms .
"So why were you sulking may I ask my lady "

"Oh no I wasn't"
She said quickly denying it .

"I am no fool"

"Nothing, We will be going to the north tomorrow and..."

"And ?"

"I heard brother say that north doesn't have good bakers so..."

"So ??"

"I love sweets and ..."

"Can you please complete your sentence stop taking pause"

"WHO WILL MAKE ME SWEETS , DAMN IT DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE SWEETS, SPECIALLY MACRONS, I LIVE FOR SWEETSSSS , AND THE NORTH HAS NO GOOD BAKERS " the lady stomped her foot explaining.

What was she a child .

"Yes I am " she looked offended.

Opps did I say it aloud. But it's not reason to be offended, she is not a child to hold grudges.

Na she was offended.
It's been 8 hours she still hasn't spoken a word .
The carriage is all silent now because even lia is sleeping. Until she was awake at least it was bustling but now it's all silent .

It's going to be one hell of a journey to north .
Not only is the temperature decreasing,her silence is adding to the chill.
