Aurelia's pov

Everything was ringing in my head . The words of the countess were so similar to those said by my father in the alternate world . No one wants a worthless fool .
But it was the truth wasn't it .
No one wants a fool who can do nothing but drag down others . And I was being such a person wasn't I . A burden to everyone around me .
I was so deep in my thoughts that ,I didn't realise when the lady came near me .
"Lia " she called out , so softly.
"Lia " once again.
I could not look up . I didn't want to . Why ?
The reason was unknown to me .
Maybe because she knew who I was , so it was embarrassing.
Or maybe because a part of me accepted that the words were nothing but truth .
Did she think like that too .
A warm pair of hands wrapped me in their embrace.
"It's okay lia .it's really okay , don't take the burden of her words . You are extraordinary, in your own way . Everyone is ,so are you . "
"No I am not . I am just a burden to everyone."
"Lia you are not a burden , to no one . Trust me . "
"But everyone has to protect me and I cry everytime , I come across such a situation "

After all with something precious, we have to be extra careful. Crying is not a sign of weakness, I cry too , maybe your father does it too . Sometimes eyes are the only way one can express there heart .  And the things you have gone through, will take a toll on you from time to time . So when it gets hard . Come to me . I'll listen to it every time. Infact,to your father , we are always there for you.  Please don't think that , the duke doesn't love you . He is chained , he wants the best for you too . We love you lia , we really do . You are not a burden"
Tears were flowing out of my eyes . I was glad I wasn't a burden .

"But still isn't it best to prove my worth ,so no outsider doubts me" I said .
"Since it's your choice. Let's find out what you can do best but won't you call me mother again "
"Mother" the word sounded, so good on my tounge.
"Mother, mother ,mother " i repeated.
And everytime I called she replied with a smile and yes .
