Aurelia's pov

Here I was infront of the office.
Two days had passed since our face off.

I have been feeling guilty, subconsciously or not I have said something which wasn't the best thing to say .
Father had been working himself to death and I knew it was to drift his attention.

I knocked on the door, I must apologise.
It were my words afterall , some words are too precise they cuts through the heart.
Inflicting the deepest wound ,which is not even visible.

"Come in "  a faint voice spoke up .
I went inside.
Looking at the condition of room , I felt a Pang .
The desk was full of papers , some scattered on floor , uncle Stephan was also beside him standing , god knows how long , he looked at me and was happy.

"Father" I called out.
"Yes" he said still looking at his papers.

Sensing the environment, uncle Stephan excused himself with a reason to bring me refreshers.

I went near father's desk .
He looked at me acknowledging my presence.
I could see prominent dark circles around his eyes, his skin was dry .
It hurted me , that father was in such a miserable state . And to know I was a catalyst to his state right now .
The feelings were too overwhelming to describe it in words so they became actions.

Karl's pov

I saw as tears started rolling down her cheeks . As she Repeatedly said sorry .
What was she sorry for , It was me who was sorry, I realised the gravity of the situation .I pulled the little girl into a hug patting her back .
I worried her ,in the process of getting things off my head .

After a good half and hour she calmed down.
"Dad I am sorry"
"I am apologies too ,I made you worried didn't I? "
"Hmm"
I ruffled her hairs , and kissed her crown.
Such a father I am showing this vulnerable side to my child .
Indeed I could never be the fairytale father , the books depicted as nor could I ever be the ideal husband to Selene, but I just wanna be better than the past me and here I am being worsen than before.

A butler came in , he forwarded a letter from Eden , it had the seal . I opened it , lia was still with me , she peaked over the letter .

I had reached a day before but because the duties and safety of my people was heeding to me I couldn't write ,I am sorry karl .
How is lia doing? How are you doing. I hope both of you are doing just fine . The citizens are being transported to the south for the sake of their safety ,we will be done soon ,the mages are helping after all and it looks like we will have a flood soon , as this rate ,*sigh* the war and flood together.
