Octo paced back and forth nervously, and he was also seen playing around with his shirt collar. He stood in front of the base Toad worked at with Moray and Anemone, and he wanted to ask him something that he'd always wanted to do. It happened to be having a hangout sea day. Ever since he first got his Monster form, Octo had been meaning to ask Toad if he could go out swimming with him one day. He wanted to keep it a surprise until he and Pirarucu caused chaos and madness in their new forms to where Toad showed up and found everything out.

Well hey, he at least knew that he could keep the aquatic form for his recently acquired Monster state a surprise. The door then opened, revealing Moray instead of Toad. "May I help you?" Moray asked Octo, soon coming out of the doorway fully. "I wanted to ask Toad something. Is he here?" the young boy asked Moray. They shook their head and responded, "He just left a few minutes ago. What's up?" When Octo explained his case, Moray couldn't help but crack a smile. "He'd like that very much, that's for sure," they said.

After telling him where Toad was headed, Octo thanked Moray and rushed in that direction. I like this kid already, Petrel chimed with a hint of happiness in their voice. "Me too Petrel. Me too," Moray responded to their Monster half as they watched him leave. From Octo's perspective, he waved back to Moray one more time before running off to catch Toad's lab coat in the distance. "Hey! HEY!" Octo screamed, rushing over to the weapons expert. This caused him to spin, soon seeing him. "Oh hey! Didn't expect to see you!" he exclaimed as Octo stopped dead in his tracks, catching his breath. "What's up?"

After a few moments of recovering, he inhaled and said, "Toad, take me swimming with you!" with his eyes lighting up and making a fun gesture. This made Toad dead stare him. "What?!" he exclaimed after realizing what he meant. "Come on, please! Ever since I got this Monster form it made me realize I can finally go out to sea with you!" Toad realized that what Octo was saying was true. Octo did have a dream of wanting to go explore the depths of the water because of his love for it, but never really got to experience it ever since his parents got fed up in their business.

He hesitated for a few moments, not knowing what to say. He was still stunned from where he and Pirarucu took the potion that made humans into Monsters all because he was roped into doing so with her. It was also due to the fact that Pirarucu overheard them taking about the sea and such. Still, Toad didn't know heck about what Monster Octo was, but he did remember bits about a document Moray had started working on. It was still a work in progress, but he remembered seeing the Monster the document was about. It looked like what Octo turned into even though he had witnessed a Negative version of said Monster.

Toad's thoughts broke from where he saw Octo continuing to stare at him. "I'm not gonna attack you or something. I've only been in the water a couple times, and now I think I've got the hang of it. Both water and surface. And with you being something I knew was real, I think it would be even more on an experience," he finally said. Toad sighed. "Alright fine. You can come with me." Octo's eyes widened in surprise. "You mean it?" he said. In response to this, Toad actually laughed and said, "Of course. To be honest, I never really had anyone to call a swimming partner. This will be fun."

Octo did his best to keep his excitement in as they both headed down to a more private part of the shoreline to where no one could see them. They happened to pass by Pirarucu, who saw them both talking and having fun. She realized what they were doing, and this gave her a genius idea. Smirking with a glint in her eye, she dove into the water when they were gone, turning into her aquatic Nega-Kigurumee form in the process.

Back on the surface, Octo was getting a bit nervous just looking down at the blue abyss. "Never done this before?" Toad asked the boy, who looked at him and nodded. "First time was me falling in, and the second time was me being pushed in. I've never done a plunge like this," he said. "My first plunge was nerve wracking too, I get you. My parents were there to comfort me that first time I did it, then I did the same with my sibling." When Octo asked Toad if it was the sibling with the tail, he nodded. Then he held his hand out for Octo to grab. He did as followed, and when he said, "You ready?" Octo felt a lot better and said, "Let's go."
