My Randomness and Oneshot Book!

I HAVE A VISION-

I've finally surpassed the 1000th episode of the One Piece anime! I feel very accomplished with this as I prepare to witness the ever so long Luffy Vs Kaido battle and of course see Fifth Gear my beloved in all of his shining glory. That actually isn't the reason why I post this though, cause actually I have an idea I'd gladly love to share about my possible first One Piece AU. It may just be a simple rewrite but with how I love to not only rewrite some stuff to have my OCs in it but to also have it be darker and more traumatizing, I think this may just work.

The idea happened after watching episode 1010 of One Piece and the whole sequence with Queen's manmade Ice Oni virus. People who have seen all of the Onigashima part of Wano know that Chopper accidently gets the virus after inspecting the bullet that contained it, soon figuring out how the virus worked and quickly disputing an antibody to cure all of those under the effects of the manmade virus. So hear me out: Ice Oni Chopper AU.

Short summary of the concept: this would start just after when Chopper accidently gets the Ice Oni virus, but then I said alright let's flip this on its head and have him fully turn and give my OC Mirai trauma, dread, and lots of angst upon watching her mentor/adoptive brother transform in front of her. In fact, I now want to have him be like a feral animal running all over the place while she has to make the antibody herself without his guidance and also while praying that he doesn't die on her.

In the end, Mirai is able to make the antibody on her own with the help of Tristan and Miyagi, still remembering everything that Chopper had taught her not only during the past two years, but also from her time living on Drum(Sakura)Island. She is able to cure the hundreds of people suffering from the hands of Queen's manmade virus while also saving Chopper from a terrible fate. Here's the twist: he gets cured, gets his mind back, and doesn't die, but he's stuck as an ice oni and doesn't go back to his previous state despite his body temperature returning to normal(yeah this means he can't infect people)after receiving the antibody. On the plus note, all of his transformations, including Monster point, all get the ice oni treatment.

That's the full idea that came to me, and for this might being my first One Piece AU, I feel like I can make it work after my Drum Kingdom rewrite I did with Mirai in it. I even have a sketch of what the ice onied Straw Hat doctor would look like for this that I will share later on. If I'm gonna be honest, this whole part gave me IDW Sonic Metal Virus vibes and I kind of want it to be like that.

Update: Now I'd like to add body horror to this since One Piece normally doesn't have body horror in it. Adds to the trauma I wanna bring later on.
