Carla never thought she would catch feelings for a woman yet here she was. Sitting in the Rovers with a bottle of wine between them staring into each others eyes after Lisa had said on of her sarcastic one liners.
"Stop it!" Carla laughed. "Don't let Jenny hear you say that. She is my step mother after all" to which Lisa burst out laughing.
"I think I should get going on that note" the Ds smiled. "I will walk you to your apartment." Carla offered. Both women got there things and left Carla waving to Jenny on their way out.
"Thank you for tonight it's been lovely" Lisa confessed. "That it has." The two women slowly started walking the walk was nice both women taking secret glances of the other talking about nothing that important.Once they got to swains apartment Carla turned to look at the other woman. "Shouldn't it be you walking me home DS Swain" she joked. "Yes maybe it should" the blonde giggled. "Thank you again for tonight" she continued. "Anytime" Carla smiled biteing her lip. Just as Lisa turned to go into the building she heard Carla say. "Take my number. So we can arrange thing again and so we can sort your Betsy's start date at the factory."
"Thanks" Lisa smiled as she took a piece of paper with the other woman's number on it. Carla watched her go inside watching a little to attentively for her own liking.
Once she got home she checked her phone to see she had a text *thank you again for tonight it was lovely not having to think. Let me know when you're home. I will be walking you back next time x* Carla couldn't help but smile at her phone. She was excited for next time. She didn't ever think she would get excited like this to see someone again yet here she was. She sent a quick text back to let the other woman know she was home before going to bed with a smile on her face.
