Carla and Lisa

Part 18

The women found a good routine within their life. It was a never event if they slept in their own bed without the other woman. The two women now never left the house without a kiss goodbye and the declaration of love.

Which was what Carla was greatful for when she was driving to the hospital with Betsy beside her. She had had a phone call from craig to let her know that Lisa was on her way to hospital with an injury during a police chase. "Did they say what happened?" Betsy asked when she shouted her into the factory office. "Nope just that she was on her way to a&e" Betsy had been doing extra shifts at the factory now her exams where done.

"Sarah we've got to go can you close up?" She asked as they was walking out. "Yeah why?"

"No time to explain thank you bye!"

Once they got the the hospital they asked where swain was. After convincing the receptionist to let them both see her. "Mum!" Betsy shouted when she saw her. The girl went to hug her mum who was sat at the edge of a ED trolly. "Wait. I think I've broke my ribs" she complained stoping her daughter. Wincing when she lifted her arm up. Carla finally caught up with them. "Darling are you ok?" She asked standing in front of her. Betsy had sat herself next to her mother. Lisa gave her a small nod. "What happened?" The brunette questioned. "I was chasing after a suspect and they threw a poll at me by the time i saw it I was on the floor." Reaching for Carla's hand for comfort. "Have you had your x-ray yet?" Betsy asked. "Nope. Just waiting for a doctor to see me." She smiled softly.

Carla could see she was hurting in her eyes and wanted nothing more than to give her a cuddle. Eventually a doctor saw Lisa and referred her for a X-ray. The three of them had a short walk to the waiting area. Betsy was starting to get bored of the waiting so went to Costa to buy them all a hot drink. Once she left Carla placed her hand on her lovers thigh. "Are you sure you're ok?" The blonde gave her a small nod. Carla could read her girlfriend like a book. "Hey I'm gonna work from home until you get better. I will look after you ok" Carla smiled. Her girlfriend lay her head on her lovers shoulder.

They were there for 6 hours in total. After hour 3 Betsy's friends mum picked her up so she could go out with her friends. Carla didn't leave her lovers side. And only laughed a little when she realised her lover was a little high on all the pain relief she had been give. The doctor confirmed it was a break to three ribs and told her to have at least 2 weeks and to be on desk duty for a while.

Carla drove the two of them home. Picking up a takeaway on their way. Carla helped her lover into her flat and onto the couch. "Ooo it's good to be home" the blonde smiled the ate their food and cuddled up on the sofa. Lisa finding it easiest to lay on her lovers chest. "Thank you for today" Lisa whispered as she played with the rings on Carla's hands. "You never have to thank me baby" Carla smiled placing a kiss to the top of her head.

"I was so worried when Craig called me. I didn't know what to do. I was going to leave Betsy at work so she wouldn't worry but I knew she wouldn't forgive me if I didn't tell her straight away" Carla admitted. "You did the right thing telling her about me thank you" Lisa replied. "I'm still worried babe." Carla admitted. Lisa slowly managed to sit her self up too look into Carla's eyes. "Baby I'm ok. Thank you for looking after me. I will be fine in a week or two" she smiled.

"It's my job to look after you.... And betsy" the brunette felt her self going shy. " it's not but we both love that you do. We wouldn't want anything else" Lisa smiled. Carla leaned in for a kiss.  "I love you" she whispered against Lisa lips and the other replied.

After a while Carla pinched her bicep. "Mate what was that for" Lisa complained. "Never ever scare me like that again please. My heart can't take it" Carla smiled.

"I promise to always try my hardest to come home to you and Betsy"

"And don't call me mate I'm your girlfriend" Carla cringed at the name. But still had jest in her voice.

"Sorry pal!" Lisa joked.

"You've high right now" Carla laughed and her girlfriend just smiled. "Your lucky your cute and injured baby"

"Would you be punishing me right now if I wasn't" Lisa joked.

"Love you would be sleeping on the couch tonight if you wasn't" Carla laughed.

"You wouldn't dare" Lisa narrowed her eyes. Carla had to keep everything in her to not push her girlfriend onto the couch and straddle her hips. Instead she lent in and kissed the woman.
