Chapter 27: Strength in Love

The days passed, and Taehyung's illness continued to cast a shadow over their lives. Despite their best efforts to stay positive, there were moments of frustration and sadness. One day, as Taehyung was going through his emails, he realized that he had missed an important business deal, one that would have propelled him into the trillion-million club. He felt a wave of anger and frustration wash over him. How could he have forgotten something so crucial?

Jungkook found Taehyung coming home throwing his suit jacket on the couch and sitting, his face clouded with anger and disappointment. He approached him cautiously, knowing how sensitive the situation was. "Taehyung, what's wrong?" he asked softly.

Taehyung looked up, his eyes filled with tears of frustration. "I missed the deal, Jungkook. I missed it because of this damn tumor," he said, his voice trembling with emotion. "I was so close, and now it's gone."

Jungkook's heart broke for Taehyung. He knelt down beside him, wrapping his arms around him. "I'm so sorry, Taehyung," he whispered, holding him close. "It's not your fault. You're doing the best you can."

Taehyung pushed him away, his anger boiling over. "No, Jungkook, it's not enough!" he exclaimed, tears streaming down his face. "I'm losing everything because of this illness. My career, my future, and maybe even you."

Jungkook felt a pang of hurt at Taehyung's words, but he knew it was the frustration talking. He took Taehyung's hands in his, looking into his eyes. "Taehyung, listen to me," he said firmly. "I love you, and I'm not going anywhere. We'll get through this together, no matter what."

Taehyung looked at him, his eyes filled with a mixture of anger and sadness. "But what if I forget you, Jungkook? What if I forget us?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper.

Jungkook pulled him into a tight hug, holding him close. "I'll remind you every day how much I love you," he said softly. "I'll be here, Taehyung, always."

Taehyung buried his face in Jungkook's chest, his body shaking with sobs. Jungkook held him, whispering words of comfort and love, letting him know that no matter what happened, they would face it together.

As the sun set outside, casting a warm glow over their home, Taehyung and Jungkook clung to each other, finding strength in their love. Despite the challenges ahead, they knew that as long as they had each other, they could overcome anything. Jungkook vowed to remember all of Taehyung's appointments, meetings, and everything else, so Taehyung wouldn't have to worry about forgetting anything ever again.

Jungkook gently caressed Taehyung's cheek and said, "Maybe it's time I step down for a bit until you have this surgery. You don't need that added pressure. I know Jin would be more than happy to do it for you.

Taehyung looked up at Jungkook, his eyes full of love and gratitude. "But what about you? You would be the next person after me to take that position."

Jungkook slowly raked his fingers through Taehyung hair. "But baby, I'm going to be with you every day," he said, his voice filled with determination. "We'll get through this together, just like we always do."

"I just don't want to forget you." Taehyung whispered.
