Jungkook was deeply engrossed in discussing legal matters with his group when he caught sight of Taehyung. The CEO was striding through the Kings Department Store, his presence commanding attention, with Jimin following closely behind him, taking notes.

Feeling a surge of affection, Jungkook excused himself from his group and made his way toward Taehyung. As he approached, Taehyung noticed him and halted in his tracks, his expression shifting from focused to surprised.

"Taehyung," Jungkook greeted softly, reaching for his husband's hand.

"Jungkook," Taehyung replied, his voice tinged with a mix of surprise and pleasure.

Jungkook gently took Taehyung's hand, intertwining their fingers, and placed it on his waist. Leaning in, he whispered, "I missed you today."

Taehyung's cheeks flushed, a slight smile playing on his lips. He glanced around quickly, hoping no one had noticed his momentary lapse in composure. "You shouldn't distract me like this," he murmured, though there was a hint of fondness in his tone.

"I can't help it," Jungkook replied with a grin. He leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to Taehyung's lips, savoring the brief moment of intimacy.

As Jungkook pulled away, he kissed Taehyung's hand, reluctant to let go. "I have to go back to my group now," he said regretfully.

Taehyung nodded, his expression returning to its usual composed mask. "I'll see you at home tonight," he said, his voice firm but warm.

Jungkook smiled, his heart swelling with love for his husband. He reluctantly released Taehyung's hand and rejoined his group, stealing a final glance at Taehyung before turning back to the task at hand.

Later that evening, Jungkook arrived home to find Taehyung already there, waiting for him in the living room. Taehyung looked up from his laptop as Jungkook entered, a small smile tugging at his lips.

"Hey," Jungkook greeted, walking over to where Taehyung was sitting.

"Hey yourself," Taehyung replied, closing his laptop and setting it aside. "How was the rest of your day?"

Jungkook sat down beside Taehyung, leaning in to kiss his lips. "It was busy, but seeing you at the store made it better," he said, wrapping an arm around Taehyung's waist.

Taehyung leaned into Jungkook's touch, resting his head on Jungkook's shoulder. "I'm glad I could make your day better," he said softly.

They sat in comfortable silence for a few moments, enjoying each other's presence.

Jungkook let out a contented sigh, feeling the day's tension melt away in Taehyung's embrace. He ran his fingers through Taehyung's hair, relishing the familiar warmth and scent of his husband.

"I missed you," Jungkook murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of Taehyung's head.

"I missed you too," Taehyung replied, lifting his head to meet Jungkook's gaze. "I always do when you're away."

They shared a smile, their love and connection palpable in the air between them. Jungkook leaned in for another kiss, this one lingering and full of unspoken promises.

As they parted, Taehyung rested his forehead against Jungkook's, their breaths mingling. "I'm proud of you, you know," Taehyung said softly. "You work so hard, and you're so passionate about what you do."

Jungkook's heart swelled with emotion at Taehyung's words. "I couldn't do it without you," he said sincerely. "You're my rock, Taehyung. My everything."

They sat together, basking in the warmth of their love, grateful for the quiet moments they could steal away from their busy lives.

Jungkook and Taehyung were looking forward to a peaceful evening after a long day. However, their tranquility was about to be shattered by an unexpected turn of events. The doorbell went off.

As Taehyung opened the door, he was greeted not only by Jungkook's parents but also his own standing on the doorstep. Confusion clouded Taehyung's expression as he welcomed them inside.

"Mom, Dad, what brings you here?" Taehyung asked, puzzled by their unexpected visit.

Mr. Kim spoke first, his expression grave. "We spoke with Mr. and Mrs. Jeon, and they mentioned something about you two getting a divorce."

"We were never told about this. Is it true?" Mrs. Kim asked, her voice trembling slightly.

"Do you know what could happen if you were to get a divorce right now? How can you do this and not tell me?" Mr. Kim yelled.

Before Taehyung could respond, Namjoon and Jin, who were taking their nightly walk, noticed the gathering at Taehyung's home and decided to join them.

Namjoon, always one to speak his mind after hearing the end of the conversation, blurted out, "Taehyung is sick, but we're trying to help him get better. It's not his fault."

The mention of Taehyung's illness brought the conversation about the divorce to an abrupt halt. The parents looked at Namjoon then Taehyung, who appeared lost and glanced at Jungkook, whose hand was trembling with emotion.

Jungkook took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment. He knew he had to explain because Taehyung needed him. "Taehyung has a brain tumor, specifically a cloud tumor. The doctors have given him three months to live. We've been in London for his treatment, and he's scheduled for major surgery next week."

The room fell silent, the gravity of Taehyung's illness sinking in. Mrs. Kim and Mrs. Jeon approached Taehyung, tears escaping their eyes. They hugged him tightly, and Taehyung's father stood there, stunned. All Taehyung could do was cried silently with his mother and mother in law. Also with comforting hang from his father in law rubbing his back.

"My son," Mr. Kim whispered, tears welling up in his eyes. "I won't let anything happen to you."

In that moment, the facade of normalcy shattered, revealing the harsh reality of Taehyung's illness. Jungkook, Taehyung, and their families were now faced with a challenging journey ahead, one filled with uncertainty and fear.
