The morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. Jungkook lay in bed, his heart heavy with sadness. He felt the weight of his unhappiness pressing down on him, threatening to suffocate him. He reached for his phone, hoping for a message from Taehyung, a sign that things would be okay. But all he found was a text message summoning him to a family meeting in the great room.

He knew what that meant—another day of facing his strained relationship with Taehyung and the expectations of his in-laws. With a deep sigh, Jungkook got out of bed and made his way to the great room.

As he entered, he saw Namjoon and Jin seated, their expressions unreadable. Taehyung was already there, looking sharp and distant. Jungkook took his seat, bracing himself for what was to come.

The meeting began, with Mrs. Kim directing her first question at Jungkook: "Have you enrolled for overseas studies?"

Jungkook felt a pang of frustration. "No, I haven't," he replied, trying to keep his tone even.

Mrs. Kim ignored his response. "But why not? It would be a great opportunity for you."

Jungkook took a deep breath, trying to keep his composure. "With all due respect, that's not something I want to do. I have my own career here, and I want to focus on that."

Mr. Kim spoke up next, his tone authoritative. "And what will you do while Kim Soohun is growing up?" he asked, referring to the name they had already chosen for Jungkook and Taehyung's future child.

Jungkook was taken aback. "Kim Soohun?" he repeated, confused.

Mr. Kim nodded. "Yes, your daughter. What else would she be?"

The assumption caught Jungkook off guard. Not only had they named their future child without his input, but it was also expected that she would bear the Kim name, not Jeon. He glanced at Taehyung, hoping for support, but Taehyung remained silent, his gaze fixed on some distant point.

The meeting continued, with Jungkook feeling more and more like an outsider in his own life. When it finally ended, he excused himself and headed back to his room to prepare for work.

After getting dressed in a suit and tie, Jungkook went to Taehyung's room, knocking lightly on the door. Taehyung answered, and Jungkook couldn't help but feel a surge of frustration.

"Do you really want to have a child and raise a child?" Jungkook asked, his voice tinged with sadness.

Taehyung's response was calculated. "What's the big idea? The maids and nanny will raise the kid," he said, a hint of indifference in his tone.

Jungkook was taken aback. He hadn't realized that Taehyung was okay with being so distant from their child. He pressed on, asking where Taehyung had been the day before when he had missed their appointment.

"Busy," was Taehyung's curt reply.

Before Jungkook could say anything else, Taehyung's phone rang. Even as he looked at Jungkook, Taehyung answered the call. It was a request for an interview, showcasing their relationship as a couple. Taehyung agreed without hesitation, hanging up the phone before turning back to Jungkook.

The frustration and sadness boiled over in Jungkook. "Just do it yourself. It's not like you need me anyway," he said, before storming out of the room, leaving Taehyung behind.

Taehyung watched him go, his expression unreadable. Inside, he felt a pang of guilt, but he pushed it aside, focusing instead on the upcoming interview and the facade of a perfect relationship that they were expected to portray. But deep down, he knew that their relationship was far from perfect, and he didn't know how to fix it.
