The hum of the boardroom's energy slowly dissipated as executives and department heads filtered out, leaving Jungkook and Taehyung in a rare moment of peace. Taehyung's eyes softened as he looked at Jungkook, still lingering on the kiss they shared moments ago.Taehyung put his hand on his stomach to stop the kicking. Jungkook looked concerned.
"Is he okay?" He asked. Taehyung nodded. "You know we will have to tell them soon. Jungkook kissed his forehead.
"I know." Jungkook stated.
"Ready to head out?" Taehyung asked, his voice gentle yet laced with anticipation.
Jungkook, still savoring the lingering warmth of Taehyung's embrace, glanced at his watch. "Is it that time already?" he asked, a grin spreading across his face.
Taehyung chuckled, nodding. "Our little ones will be waiting for us. We promised we wouldn't be late today."
Jungkook's eyes lit up at the mention of their children. "Let's not keep them waiting then," he said, reaching for his briefcase. As they walked towards the door, he added, "I can't wait to hear about their day."
They made their way to the elevator, the usual bustle of the office replaced by a comforting silence. Taehyung pressed the button for the parking level and turned to Jungkook. "You think they'll be excited to see us?" he asked, a hint of worry in his voice.
Jungkook looked at Taehyung with a reassuring smile. "Of course they will be. They always are. And besides, I have a feeling they'll have plenty to tell us about."
Taehyung's expression softened, and he nodded. "You're right. It's just... I hate being away from them for so long."
Jungkook squeezed Taehyung's hand gently as the elevator doors closed. "We both do. But we're making it work, and they know we love them."
The elevator ride was quick, and soon they were in the underground parking lot, where their car awaited. Taehyung slid into the driver's seat while Jungkook settled in beside him. The car roared to life, and they pulled out of the parking space, heading towards the school.
As they drove, the cityscape whizzing by, Taehyung reached over to turn on the radio, filling the car with soft music. "So, any bets on what mischief our kids have been up to today?" he asked, a playful glint in his eyes.
Jungkook laughed, shaking his head. "Knowing them? Probably something that will make us proud and a little worried at the same time."
Their children, Minji and Jihoon, were the light of their lives, each day bringing new stories of their adventures and antics. Minji, at six years old, was curious and full of energy, always asking questions and exploring the world with wide-eyed wonder. Jihoon, at five, was more reserved but had a mischievous streak that often caught them by surprise.
As they approached the school, Jungkook's phone buzzed with a notification. He glanced at the screen and smiled. "It's a photo from Minji's teacher," he said, showing the picture to Taehyung.
In the photo, Minji was proudly holding up a certificate, her face beaming with joy. The caption read, "Minji won the science fair today! So proud of her curiosity and hard work."
Taehyung's face lit up with pride. "Our little scientist," he said softly. "She's growing up so fast."
Jungkook nodded, his heart swelling with love. "She really is. And Jihoon probably has some new drawing or story to share with us."
They pulled into the school's parking lot, spotting a group of children already waiting outside. Among them, Minji and Jihoon were easy to spot. Minji's dark hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and she wore her favorite dinosaur-themed backpack. Jihoon stood next to her, his eyes scanning the crowd as if on the lookout for his parents.
