As he moved through the lobby, his steps became progressively slower. The polished floor under his feet seemed to stretch endlessly, and the distant hum of hospital activity faded into the background. A strange sensation washed over him, like stepping into a different realm. Each step grew heavier, his surroundings blurring into an indistinct haze until he came to a complete stop.

Suddenly, Taehyung found himself standing in an open field. The sun was bright and warm, casting a golden glow over the expanse of vibrant wildflowers that stretched as far as the eye could see. He blinked, trying to make sense of the abrupt shift in reality. The scent of the flowers was intoxicating, and the gentle breeze rustled through the petals, creating a symphony of whispers.

He blinked again, and the field dissolved into the sterile confines of Dr. Lee's office. Taehyung was seated now, his heart pounding in his chest. He looked around, disoriented, struggling to grasp how he had moved from the hospital lobby to this small, clinical room. Dr. Lee was speaking, his voice calm but weighted with gravity.

"Mr. Kim, you have Glioblastoma. It's an aggressive form of brain cancer," Dr. Lee's words sliced through Taehyung's foggy mind.

Taehyung blinked rapidly, his eyes trying to focus on the doctor's face. "I... I don't understand. How did I get here? I was just standing in the lobby..." His voice trailed off, confusion etching deep lines across his face.

Dr. Lee's expression shifted from professional concern to something more personal, a flicker of empathy and worry. "Taehyung, has this happened before? Sudden disorientation, memory lapses?"

Taehyung's gaze fell to his hands, which were trembling slightly. "Yes," he admitted slowly. "I've been having headaches, really intense ones. And... I lose track of time. Sometimes, I forget things, like important meetings or plans." He paused, his mind flashing back to an unsettling memory.

In his office, Jimin had come in, looking worried. "Mr. Kim, weren't you supposed to meet Jungkook for lunch? You told me to clear your schedule for it."

Taehyung had glanced at the clock on his desk, realizing with a jolt that hours had slipped by unnoticed. The bustling lunch lobby was closing down when he arrived, and Jungkook was nowhere to be found.

The memory faded, pulling Taehyung back to the present moment in Dr. Lee's office. "I had something important yesterday, too," Taehyung continued, his voice almost a whisper. "I was supposed to meet my husband Jungkook. But I forgot."

Dr. Lee nodded, understanding dawning in his eyes. "These symptoms are likely connected to the tumor. Glioblastoma can affect cognitive functions and memory. That's why you need to understand the seriousness of your condition and the urgency of starting treatment."

Taehyung sat in stunned silence, the weight of the diagnosis pressing down on him like an unbearable burden. The field of flowers, the memory lapses, the headaches—it all made a dreadful kind of sense now. His mind drifted back to Jungkook, his rock, his sanctuary. How was he going to tell him this?
