The day had been long and grueling for Jungkook, a constant battle between his home life and work life. As he sat in his office, the events of the day replayed in his mind, and he couldn't shake the feeling that maybe divorce was the best option for him. He felt alone, even in his own marriage, and the thought of living in his apartment, away from the suffocating pressure of the Kim family, seemed almost appealing.

He thought back to the conversation he had with his father-in-law, the warning about what would happen if he ever divorced Taehyung. But now, Jungkook realized that he didn't care anymore. He was tired of living in a loveless marriage, of being controlled and manipulated by Taehyung and his family. He wanted out, no matter the cost.

As Jungkook finished up his day and realized he had no appointments, he made a decision. It was time to visit his parents and let them know what he had decided. He packed up his things and headed out, ignoring the repeated calls from Taehyung. There was nothing left to say.

As Jungkook stood waiting for the elevator, the sounds of the office seemed distant, almost muted. His thoughts were a swirl of frustration and sadness, the weight of his decision pressing heavily on his chest. He could hear the unmistakable sound of Taehyung's approaching footsteps, a rhythm he had grown so familiar with over the years. Taehyung rounded the corner, his expression a mix of confusion and urgency.

His voice tinged with a mix of frustration and concern "Jungkook, why didn't you answer my calls? I've been trying to reach you all afternoon."

Jungkook not turning to look at him, his tone icy and detached "I saw them. I just didn't feel like talking."

Taehyung's eyes widened slightly, not used to such bluntness from Jungkook. He took a step closer, lowering his voice as if trying to bridge the emotional distance between them.

"We need to go somewhere. There's something important I want to show you."

Jungkook turned to face Taehyung, his expression a mask of indifference.

"I'm not going anywhere with you."

The firmness in Jungkook's voice seemed to shock Taehyung. He blinked, as if trying to process the coldness in his husband's words.

"Why not? You don't have any appointments, and you have nowhere else to go."

Jungkook eyes narrowing slightly, a flicker of pain crossing his face "Just because I don't have appointments doesn't mean I have nowhere else to go, Taehyung. I have plenty of places I'd rather be than with you right now."

Taehyung took another step closer, desperation creeping into his voice.

"Jungkook, please. This is important. Can't you just... give me a chance to explain?"

Jungkook clenched his fists, trying to keep his emotions in check. He looked away, staring at the elevator doors as if willing them to open and end this confrontation.

"Explain what, Taehyung? How you've ignored me for months? How every conversation we have ends up being about work or your family? I'm tired of waiting for you to notice that I'm drowning here."

Taehyung's expression faltered, a flash of vulnerability breaking through his usual composed facade. He reached out a hand, as if to touch Jungkook's arm, but stopped himself midway.

"I... I didn't realize you felt that way. I thought... I thought we were just busy, that things would get better once the pressure eased."

Jungkook let out a bitter laugh, shaking his head.

"Busy? You've been busy with everyone but me, Taehyung. I've been alone in this marriage for so long that I don't even remember what it feels like to be your husband."

The elevator doors finally opened with a soft chime, but neither of them moved. Taehyung's face crumpled slightly, the weight of Jungkook's words hitting him hard.

Taehyung stated softly, almost pleading "Jungkook, please. Just come with me. Please. I need you."

Jungkook stepped into the elevator, pressing the button for the ground floor without looking back.

"I'm not going anywhere with you," he repeated, his voice void of emotion.

As the doors began to close, Taehyung stood rooted in place, a look of disbelief and sorrow on his face. Jungkook kept his gaze forward, fighting back the tears that threatened to spill. Just before the doors shut completely, he whispered to himself, barely audible, "I can't keep doing this."

And with that, the elevator descended, leaving Taehyung standing alone in the hallway, the sound of Jungkook's final words echoing in his ears.

Jungkook drove to his parents' home, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. His family never made him feel unloved or unwanted, and he knew he could find solace there. When he arrived, his mom greeted him with open arms, asking about Taehyung. They went inside, where his mom had prepared a feast, and his father and younger brother joined them.

His brother, Jejkok, was upset with him for missing their dad's birthday. But when Jungkook told them he was divorcing Taehyung, Jejkok's tone changed. "Why would you want to leave the rich man and come back to this hellhole?" he asked, anger in his voice.

Jungkook sighed, feeling the weight of his decision. "It's not about the money," he explained. "I'm unhappy, and I can't continue living like this. I need to find my own path, even if it means starting over."

Their father intervened, smacking Jejkok on the head for his language. "Jungkook has his reasons," he said, looking at his son with concern. "And we'll support him no matter what."

Jungkook felt a sense of relief hearing his father's words. He knew that leaving Taehyung would be difficult, but he also knew it was the right decision for him. As they sat down to dinner, Jungkook felt a glimmer of hope for the future, knowing that he had his family by his side.
