Meg was talking to some other doctors who were not supportive of Cas leaving at 1st, but Meg convinced them. She reminded them that he was technically an adult and told them about his history with Sam and Dean and how close they were. The doctors were leery, but eventually given in.

It was just another morning. Cas had been at Glenwood Springs for a year and 6 months now. He showed very little improvement, just different phases. The bloody red spiral on the wall was a bit chipped away and disgustingly brown. Even some flies were on it now. Another reason that Meg wanted him to leave was so that they could clean it up without him throwing a bitch fit or hurting himself again. She decided to have a little chat wit him to see if he would even be ok with leaving it behind.

She walked in on Cas sitting on the bed, tube in, as normal, staring at his hands. She sat next to him.

"Hey, Cas."

"Hey, Meg..."

"So...i have an idea."

"What is it?"

"Well, you know that you have been here a while. Right? So...how would you feel about possibly returning to the bunker to be wit Sam and Dean?"

Castiel's eyes lit up a bit at that. "R-really? You mean it?"

"Of course. I talked to the other doctors about it and they agree wit me. But in the end, it is your decision. You are an adult, after all."

"What do Sam and Dean think about it?"

"They would love to have you back...but only if you promise not to make them stay in the bunker the whole time." She added wit a small chuckle.

Cas chuckled a bit, too. "I would not do that...I mean, look at me now. I am too weak."

"Yeah...well, let me know." Just as she gotten up and was about to walk up the door, Cas weakly grabbed her wrist. "Wait..." He said softly.

She pulled her wrist back and turned towards him. "Yes?"

"I have made up my mind. I want to go wit them. I...I am okay with leaving the red spiral behind. I do not need it or the eye to protect me anymore." {I have the lighter and angel radio.} He thought.

Meg smiled. "Wonderful. I will get some arrangements done, ok?"

Cas nodded.

Meg went to fetch a doctor to talk to him about Castiel's decision and what was to come. The doctor nodded and told her to call Sam and Dean so she did just that.

"Hey, Sam."

"H-hey, Meg. Hold on, I will put you on speaker so that Dean can hear, too."

Dean walked over, beer in hand. "This is about Cas, I assume?"

"Yes...he uh...he wants to come back to the bunker..." Meg said quietly.

There was silence for a few minutes until Sam decided to say something. "Why?" That was all he asked.

"Well, he is making very minimal recovery here. He just went through like 3 different phases during the year and 6 months that he was here."

"Won't he be upset about leaving that...red spiral or whatever? Cus he sure as hell ain't doing that shit here." Dean quipped.

"I already talked to him about that. He said that he would be okay with it. And no, he is not going to keep you captive in the bunker. He is far too weak now, have you not seen him? And another thing...I hope that you guys have the proper medical tools because he is going to need an IV occasionally and a tube for a few more weeks until you can convince him to eat solid foods, Start wit stuff like applesauce and yoghurt. Then move to small snack items like cheese and crackers. It will be a long time, if ever, that he can eat like you guys again. No big fancy meals like steak or pizza or spaghetti. Understand? No hamburgers...and Especially no alcohol."

"Yeah yeah, we get it," Dean said.

"OK, bye, for now, Meg. I will probably have more questions further down the line so please try not to get too annoyed whenever I call you." Sam said, chuckling.

"Mhm bye now boys." She hung up.

"Ok, Cas. pack your things."

His face lit up a bit. "Am I going there?!"

"Yes!! Now come on."

Cas packed his things, which was not much. Sam and Dean had the IV And tube. Cas changed out of his stoic white hospital clothes and put on the ones that he arrived in a year and 6 months ago. They looked super big on him now. He went over to the red spiral and sat by it. More like the brown spiral now. The blood was very old and chipping even more. He sighed shakily. "Thank you for protecting me the best that you could. I will do my best to always protect you." Whispering, he said, "Nobody will ever know about the eye, the lighter, or the angel radio in my head. I promise." He lightly traced it wit his fingers for the last time and went up to Meg. "I am ready."

"Good. And uh...you know, I will always be a demon and you will always be an angel but...I can't help but have gotten close wit you after al this time. I am going to 'quit' a few days after you leave because we all knew that the only reason I worked here was so that I could keep an eye on you. Sam and Dean kind of made me. Anyway, I just...i gotten you this." She handed him a bee plush and it had wings. It was soft as well and very cute. "Wow...thanks, Meg. Can I hug you?" "Fine. But do not tell anybody!!" She hugged him, not squeezing too hard. She could already feel every single rib and his spine. It creeped her out. She pulled away. "Goodbye, Cas. And good luck. I can always come back here. Just in case."

Cas nodded as he slowly walked outside to the 67 impala, Deans good ol' baby.

He rode in the back. It was nice to talk to them honestly.
