Through trauma and difficulties, Davina Vàsquez finds her way into Madrid, working as a physiotherapist, where she meets an old friend who goes by the name of Jude Bellingham, the person she despises. They have at each other while she's working ther...
It was two weeks later and I was in a limousine driving to the Barcelona vs Real Madrid match with Naomi. I'd told her about the Gavi thing and she couldn't help but be excited. Like many, she crushed on a lot of players, Neymar, Trent, and my now-boyfriend Pablo Gavi.
"So what are you gonna do? Kiss him?"
"Oh shit yeah, probably. If they win, I mean. Only problem is, they're playing against Real. So I'm going to be sitting on our side and if I even cheer one bit, everyone's going to hate me."
"True, let's hope they lose, so it'll be like a pity kiss, you know. And you should definitely refrain from cheering to much, I feel like that'll just make it worse."
We finally got to the stadium, where we were surprisingly greeted with paparazzi. I was glancing around to see if they were talking to others but we were the only ones there.
"Davina is it true you and Gavi are dating?" I heard from my left.
"Is Gavi your rebound after Jude?" From my right.
"I guess I don't have to worry about it spreading anymore," I whispered to Namoi when we walked into security.
I went to the locker rooms to find it empty, the players apparently already warming up on the pitch.
I looked for Lorenzo on the pitch, leaving Naomi to go to the presentator's box, and spotted him on the bench stretching.
"Davina! You're here!" He yelled and ran over.
"Of course, I still work here Enzo." I hugged him tight and walked to the box.
"Are you excited for your first real game?"
"Very. I just hope I'll be able to play today and I don't want to fuck up."
"Don't worry you'll do great."
"Davina! Come do kick ups with us!" Camavinga yelled from my left. Aurélien and Rodrygo by his side.
Me and Lorenzo ran over and had some fun before the game. After a while though, Barcelona entered the stadium and started warming up. I saw Gavi running up the pitch, straight towards me.
I started sweating and could see the rest visibly confused. I looked for a way to escape but couldn't, as he was surprisingly fast and got to me in a few seconds.
"Hi Davina, Aurélien," he nodded, and Aurélien smiled like a child and waved, but resumed his kick ups.
"Sucks that we have to play against your team today. Would've wanted our relationship debut to be in a more friendly environment."
"I'm sure it'll be fine. Trust me. But don't be surprised if I don't cheer too much, okay? I don't want everyone to hate me."
"Don't worry, I expected it." He chuckled. We heard his name being called by his teammates.
"Sorry, I got to warm up, I'll see you later okay?" He kissed me on my cheek, leaving me flustered and ran off with a wink.
I heard whistles from his team, making me laugh and embarrassed. When I looked around, I saw Jude stare down Gavi as he ran up and down the pitch, hands on his hips.
Aurélien raised his eyebrows towards me and then Jude, to which I just shrugged and took my seat in the box, ready to relax and eat chips.
The game started slow. I was talking with Lorenzo and Vásquez, waiting for anything exciting to happen.
Barcelona ended up scoring and I didn't cheer much, but did flash a smile at Gavi, who winked. The camera seemed to catch that and I soon saw my face on the screens, smiling at my so-called boyfriend.
Lorenzo started cheering because he was happy to be on the big screen for the first time, and Vásquez seemed disappointed with the goal, but still laughed at Enzo. Thankfully neither of them really realised the situation.
Half time came and the team was suddenly very nervous. It was decided that Lorenzo would come in the second half, so he was really shitting his pants, but still excited.
I went to talk with Naomi, who seemed to handle her job perfectly, with a coffee in her hand and a donut in the other.
Half time went by quick and I was back at the box next to Mendy this time. 75 minutes in, Lorenzo finally ran onto the pitch, with me and the others cheering him on. Even the crowd was excited to see what he could bring.
He lost a few balls in the first few minutes, still getting used to the other's way of playing, but soon got the hang of it and dribbled past many of the players.
At one point, he'd almost passed an assist to Jude, but got hit to the ground, giving the other a yellow card.
For some reason, Jude was being very aggressive, pushing many to the ground or taking the ball for himself, costing a lot of time and goal attempts.
On the 81st minute, he eventually got a goal, making the score even. The stadium was getting nervous, seeing a lot of fights break out on the field. At one point, everyone was focused on a fued between Jude and Gavi, that Lorenzo was able to slip past the rest and run towards the goal.
We all stood up and waited as he used all his strength to make it to the goal on time at the 88th minute, hoping to make it 2-1.
It wasn't easy, but he made it to the other side of the field and kicked the ball into the goal.Immediately after, a roar of cheers filled the stadium and he was hugged by the team running after him.
Everyone congratulated him on the winning goal, making the final score 2-1 a few minutes later. After the game, he ran up to me and hugged me, almost crying.
I saw Gavi running up after Lorenzo had gone and picked me up. Even though they didn't win, we had a deal to make 'it' officially after today's game, so when he put me down he placed a kiss on my lips, getting shocked reactions, and then cheers from the stadium, every camera probably focused on us. I felt bad, hoping this wouldn't take Lorenzo's success away.
At least it was official now and I didn't have to worry about anything anymore.
