I woke up with a headache, my instincts bringing my hand to my head, but it was stopped by another arm holding it down. I looked to my side and saw Jude still asleep, his arms wrapped around my waist, holding me in place.
I remembered last night and almost blushed, but the headache was stopping me from moving or thinking too much. I tried to slip out his grip, but he was pulling my back to him.
"Wait," he groaned into my back.
"Jude, I need to call Amara," I told him.
"She can wait," he replied and pulled me on top of him. My hands resting on either side of him, we looked at each other.
"Hi," "Good morning, love."
I rolled my eyes, trying to push myself off him, but he pulled me down by my shoulders, planting a kiss on my forehead.
"My head hurts," I complained.
"So lie down," he said.
"We can't. We have the event to go to, remember." I felt mean wanting to go, but I needed at least a few hours to get ready, and it was almost noon.
"Fine, just say you don't want to hang out with me," he pouted and pushed me off him, turning his back on me.
I laughed, kissing him on the cheek, but left the bed and went to the bathroom. My makeup was smudged, I reeked of alcohol and my legs were shaking so much, it was hard to stand properly.
I grabbed my phone from my bag and dialled Amara's number.
"Girl where the fuck were you? I called you a hundred times," She yelled, apparently wide awake.
"Sorry, Amara, I'm back at the hotel," I replied, holding the phone away from my ear.
"Oh my God, Kayo told me," her tone changed completely.
"What happened?" She continued, probably wanting every detail.
"Shut up, Amara. I need to get ready," I laughed and right as she started squealing, assuming what happened, I hung up the phone.
I took my time to shower and look slightly presentable, and by the time I got out the bathroom. Jude had left. Thankfully, he left a note, or I might have had to kill him.
Went to my room, I'll come back later before we go to the event <3 I don't regret anything.
-Jude
I smiled at the note, calling Naomi to tell her what had happened. The first thing she asked was if he was big or not, so I hung up.
The whole day, I spent drinking water and getting ready for our first event. They'd hired a makeup artist and hair stylist to get me looking perfect, so I just relaxed and made sure I was awake.
By the time they left, I had my dress on. Amara had come by and helped picking out other small things like accessories, but it was soon five thirty, and time to leave for the event. I was waiting for Jude, hoping he'd kept his promise, but after a while, I felt disappointed and decided to just leave.
Right as I opened the door, holding my purse, he was standing there, holding a bouquet of flowers, out of breath. I was taken aback, smiling at him. He was staring at me, glancing down to my dress.
"You look stunning," he said, grabbing my hand and pulling me close.
"Sorry it took me so long, you like the orchids?" He handed me the flowers.
"My favourite, thank you," I whispered and kissed him softly.
"Anything for you, Davi."
I put the flowers in my room, and followed him out the door. His hand got to my waist, holding me tightly, awaiting paparazzi outside, ready to record every part of the event.
It surprised me Jude was still holding my waist when we got outside, everyone being able to see us. I can't lie, though, we were serving.
The team was ahead of us, smirking when they saw us together, giggling to each other like little kids.
The cars that took us away were parked in the front, but Jude had a different plan than getting inside. He asked me something that surprised me, but I was happy he did. He seemed to be genuine, so I let him.
Making sure everyone was looking, he grabbed my waist and turned me around, kissing me passionately.
I heard the camera's click and hoped I wouldn't regret letting him do it. I didn't truly know his intention, but my life has been chaotic anyway, so this wouldn't make it any different. Besides, people would already question us walking together, his hand wrapped around me.
The event was boring. Not many interesting people, the people there not incredibly famous, except for Dave, who I was excited to meet. Apart from that, I just sat at the bar, hoping not to be bothered. That was until I heard a familiar voice behind me.
"Fancy seeing you here,"
"Kai, leave me alone," I replied, rolling my eyes at just the sight of his face.
"Or what? You can't just leave a note and expect me not to do anything," he scoffed, sitting down on the chair next to mine.
"I'm with Jude now, leave me alone."
"Yeah, I heard. First with him, then that Pablo guy, and now you went back to him. You really love to sleep around, don't you?"
"Shut up Kai, you cheated on me, so did Gavi. Why don't you just leave me alone forever and we won't have problems."
"I'm afraid I can't do that," he stepped closer to me, reaching out for my arm.
"Yes you can."
Kai's arm was twisted, which sent him down to the floor. Jude was holding his arm and a security guy was dragging him out the room. The sight was humorous, seeing him trash around, not being able to do anything and the security man was holding him like a grape.
"You alright?"
"I'm fine, he wasn't going to do anything anyways," I said, though I wasn't even sure about that.
"I'm sorry if kissing you earlier felt too much, I shouldn't have pressured you."
"You didn't pressure me, but you could've given me a heads up," I replied, downing a third drink.
"Sorry, I'll tell you more," he said, giving me a kiss.
It felt weird, kissing him in public without it being because of a forced relationship. I wasn't really sure what we were yet. Not dating, but loyal, and with benefits.
