I looked down at the pairs of handcuffs that were restricting both my wrists and ankles before watching as the doctor stitched up Diamanté's wound.
"So... when are you gonna take these off?" I asked, him now looking at me.
There were two guards behind me and another one of his best men standing right next to me.
After I stabbed Diamanté, it wasn't long before a bunch of guards came rushing outside and forced me on the ground, soon brining me to this lounge area. I was only defending myself.
The bastard kissed me!
"No time soon" He replied with no expression on his face.
"You do know that I could get out of these if I wanted?" I asked, watching as he sighed loudly.
"Oh no, I'm well aware that you're capable of it. But it'll be of your best interest to keep them on. That is, if you still want to save your brother" He replied.
He did not just go there.
"There's no telling what I'll do if you were to escape" He added while the doctor continued to stitch his wound.
I didn't know if I should be amazed or scared that he didn't even flinch once throughout the entire process.
As I began to recap all that's happened, there was one thig I knew for a fact. This isn't gonna be as easy as I thought...
My plans keep on getting derailed, and this guy is nowhere near normal. Then again, I can't really say that considering what I've done for a living.
I knew that this would be risky. Even so, I thought that I would be able to handle it. But, I guess I miscalculated along the way.
The doctor then began to pack their belongings after he had finally finished. It was then when I saw the faint scars on Diamantés chest and arms.
"Listen... about Gabriel Hines. Do you know where to find him?" I asked after a while.
"I'm sure I'd be able to tack him down one way or another if you'd just give me a clue. Why does he want you dead?" I added.
He then sat up from the couch and stretched his arms, "Because I killed his younger brother" He told me.
I looked up at him in disbelief before i got up from the seat I was in, "Why you piece of..." I began before I noticed the smirk on his face, realizing that he was only messing with me.
In order for this to work, I can't let him get to me. He's just testing me.
I sighed out before sitting back in the chair, "So when are you planning to free me?" I asked as he stood, slipping back on the short from earlier.
"When I feel like I can trust you. Until then, I'll be holding you hostage" He replied.
I couldn't help but scoff, "As if I haven't been a hostage all this time" I muttered out.
