The party was now over, and it was just my parents, Alora and I.
It's been hours since I last seen Alora.
After I finished icing the cake, my mother had the two of them locked away in my old room.
I already knew she was showing Alora my baby photos as I heard them laughing and saying words like 'adorable' and 'cute'.
I was both happy and upset about the whole ordeal. I was happy that Alora was comfortable and that my mother loved her. But I was also upset because I wasn't able to be around her as much.
My mother even had the maids bring the food to the room they were in, instead of coming out to eat when everyone was still here.
I guess this is also my punishment for not yet fixing this between my siblings... that also earned me another smack to the back of my head.
I was currently sitting outside with my father who was sipping on his glass of wine while the two of us looked at the sky, making small talk.
"So you brought back a girl with you this time" He spoke out after a while.
I looked to see that he was still looking at the stars in the dark sky, his expression being neutral as always.
"Yeah... she's different" I replied, him humming in response.
"That's new coming from you. I never thought the day would come when you'd bring a female here on your own. She must be really something" He smiled.
"Mom already loves her, and she even stood up to grandfather" I told him, watching as he raised an eyebrow in questioning.
"Is that so? I'm guessing that was the commotion from earlier that I heard people talking about" He said, watching as I nodded my head, smiling just at the thought.
"I heard that you also gave him back the ownership to the family mansion and the beaches surrounding it. Are you sure that was a good idea?" He then asked me.
"Yeah, it's not like he gets anything other than a big house and a few beaches. I already had the valuables taken out of that place a long time ago, so it's useless to me now" I shrugged, hearing as he chuckled.
"That's my son" He stated with pride.
The two of us then began to chat about our days. I told my father about everything that went down back in the US. The more he heard about Alora, I knew that he was beginning to like her as well.
Just as I were about to say something, I heard two pair of footsteps heading our way. I turned around to see that it was both my mother and Alora. The first thing I noticed was that my mom had her arm wrapped around Alora's.
She's already became attached.
"Are you done tormenting our guest, dear?" My father asked as he and I stood from where we were sitting. He then went towards my mother and swiftly pulled her away from Alora who was smiling at me.
My father then walked towards Alora, extending out his hand, "I'm Diamanté's father, Tomás Rodríguez" He greeted, Alora soon shaking his hand.
"It's nice to meet you sir. My name is Alora Madden" She replied.
"So for the wedding, I was thinking-" My mother began before I stepped forward, grabbing ahold of Alora's hand.
"Alright, I think that's our cue to head out" I interrupted before giving both my parents a brief hug, them doing the same with Alora.
My mother frowned as she pulled away, "Why don't the two of you spend the night?" She asked before my father wrapped an arm around her waist.
"Let those two have some alone time dear. You and Alora were upstairs for hours" He spoke out, her soon giving up.
"I promise that we'll visit again sometime tomorrow" I reassured her before we said our final goodbyes, Alora and I taking our leave.
Roman had the vehicle waiting outside for us, and I guided Alora towards it, helping her get inside before getting in after her.
The ride back to the mansion was quiet, thought I found it pretty comfortable. Even though the place was just down the street, I felt Alora rest her head on me shoulder, looking to see that she was now asleep. I found myself smiling before looking back out the window.
I guess my mom really did go overboard.

2 Days Later...
"Can't the two of you stay for a few more days? You just got here!" My mother asked, pointing out that we barely been here.
"I'm sorry mama, but I have some things to take care of remember? Besides, Alora has her own things as well" I replied before hugging both her and my father.
A small chuckle came from him as he returned the hug, "Don't you worry about your mother, she'll be fine. Just make sure you make things right with your sisters" He spoke out, seeing a small smile on his face as I pulled away.
It didn't take long for Theo to call me and tell me that both Luca and my sister were back from their trip. I wasn't suprised that Angelo didn't tell me about it since he wanted to keep me away from her, which is why we have to leave so soon.
While we were here in Argentina, I had Theo get the planning straight for the party I was going to be throwing soon.
"And you better bring them here to visit us, they're still apart of the family" My mother stated with a serious expression on her face.
I found myself smiling at the two, nodding my head. "I promise" I replied before they hugged Alora goodbye as well, the two of us soon taking our leave.
Roman drove us back to the airport where we all got back on the private jet. After we were all situated and seated, I turned towards Alora.
"So... have you decided on what you're going to do just yet?" I asked her, watching as she looked up from her phone. The jet had already taken off and we were currently on the way back home.
She seemed to be thinking about something before she responded, "I've decided to visit my brother for a bit before I head back to Canada. There are some things I still need to take care of there before I consider staying in the US permanently" She explained, watching as I nodded my head.
As much as I wanted to make her stay with me, I knew I couldn't do that. Alora was her own person, and she has every right to do as she pleases.
I also have my own things to take care of.
