Arik 😳

The door then opened and I saw that it was Gabriel. He closed the door behind him before coming towards me with a paper bag in his hand.

"It's about time. I was just about to die of hunger" I muttered out as he took off the hat he had on, tossing it on the counter.

"What's with that outfit?" I then asked.

"They were questioning all the waiters on the ship. I had to disguise myself as a delivery guy in order to get away" He explained before handing me the bag.

He then plopped down on the nearest chair, "I see. If that's all it was, then don't worry about it. I already anticipated that might happen" I replied as I looked at the documents in front of me.

"I made sure they'd never recognize you, no matter how closely they scrutinize the staff list, my fellow FBI Agent" I added, watching as he rolled his eyes.

"Former FBI Agent" He corrected as I took a bite of the sandwich. Even to this day, I don't know how I got myself into working with Gabriel Hines.

"You know, Arik, I saw a lot of familiar faces at the party... and I think I saw someone you know among them" He spoke out after a while.

I took a quick sip of my drink before looking at him in confusion, "Someone I know?" I repeated, watching as he nodded his head.

"Yeah, your sister" He stated.

I then began to cough dramatically as I patted my chest, forcing the food to go down.

"What?!" I asked.

"I think I saw Alora with Diamanté Rodriguez" He explained.

"It looked like they were in love with each other" He added.

I quickly stood, "In love?! My sister would never fall in love with a bastard like Diamanté Rodriguez! Not in a million years!" I yelled out.

"Right..."

"There must be some reason why you saw those two together. Maybe he's forcing her to be with him... yeah, that's got to be it!" I proclaimed.

"It didn't look forced to me" I heard him mutter out.

"We should be fine here for a day or so before we have to relocate" He soon told me.

"Alright"

Alora... I hope you know what you're doing.

Alora

I couldn't help but squint my eyes as the sun was practically beaming down on me, thanks to the curtains being pulled open.

My body felt heavy, thanks to Diamanté's arm being thrown over me.

It wasn't long before I felt a finger tracing the side of my face, moving a strand of hair behind my ear. I then looked up to see him leaned over me, an indescribable look on his face.

"Diamanté" I spoke out.

He then snapped out of the daze he was in, "Oh... you're awake" He muttered out before placing a kiss of my forehead.

He looked like he was back to normal now.

"What were you doing? Checking to see if I'm alive?" I joked, but from the look on his face, I guessed right.
