"We'll be wrapping things up pretty soon, but first we're going to New Jersey" Diamanté explained.
"New Jersey?! We're not going anywhere!" I rushed out before standing.
"Did you forget why I came here in the first place?" I asked in disbelief.
Diamanté sighed out before placing the fork back on the plate, "Relax"
"There's a cruise ship that left and is heading towards New Jersey, which is also where the party I was invited to is taking place" He added.
"When did it depart?" I asked.
"Almost a week ago"
I couldn't help but sigh as I ran a hand through my hair, "It never occurred to me that he might've been in a different state" I muttered out.
"I plan on returning to Argentina after I deal with things here, I don't plan on coming back" Diamanté said before looking directly at me.
"This may well be our last dinner together" He added before raising his glass of wine.
"Cheers" He spoke out before taking a sip.
I didn't know how to describe how I felt when he told us that. Even though Diamanté and I have known each other just recently, something didn't sit right with me.
I looked over at Tristian who was also taking a sip of his wine, "I'll pass on the toast" I said before getting ready to leave, hearing as the bed was practically calling my name.
"Where are you going?" Diamanté then asked me.
"I'm gonna go ahead and rest. But before I do, I was wondering if I had permission to go somewhere without you being there?" I replied.
He raised an eyebrow in questioning before nodding his head, "As long as you're here when we're about to leave. But what is it for?" He asked.
I looked at him and smiled, "Let's just say that I have some business to attend to"

I soon got out of the vehicle and headed towards the entrance as I slipped on my pair of gloves. Just as I were about to put on the mask, Tristian stopped me.
"Hey, are you sure that you'll be alright on your own? I can tag along with you if you want" Tristian asked, while Logan stood next to the car.
"I'll be fine, if shouldn't take that long" I replied, soon looking at the building behind me.
"If I'm not back within fifteen minutes, you should probably come stop me. Same goes for you, Logan" I added, not missing the weird look he gave me.
"What the heck is she about to be doing?" I heard Logan mutter out.
I then placed the hat on my head, "See you in a bit... and don't forget to move the car"
Before we left to go to New Jersey, I needed to take care of everything that's happened so far.
The fact that Arik has been able to hide himself completely lets me know that someone is helping him.
It's possible that they may have teamed up for some sort of investigation to looking into something that involved both Diamanté and Antonio.
Even so, there's still one thing that I needed to check.
When I made it into his apartment, I knew that he had yet to come home. It was silent and no one was in any of the rooms.
