Alora

A small sigh came from me as I held onto the railing, watching as the sun began to set.

I couldn't help but think about everything that has taken place, and what my next steps would be.

Arik should be safe now, but there are still so many loose ends to tie up.

After my conversation with Tristian, he said he needed time to think about my proposal. I found myself worrying about if both Arik and Diamanté's name would be cleared.

And... what am I to do about Diamanté?

If people were to find out I have tried with a mafia boss, there's no doubt that I won't be able to become a legit bodyguard.

I don't want to sacrifice my future solely for the sake of this relationship. Or whatever is going on between the two of us, not to mention his own problems he still has yet to face.

If I let myself be swept away by these feelings, I'll be the only one with nothing.

"Alora" Diamanté's voice then spoke out, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I then turned to face him, seeing that he was walking towards me. "What are you thinking about?" He asked.

I found myself smiling as he stood in front of me, placing a hand on my side. "I was thinking about you..." I replied.

"Oh, please" He chuckled before placing a soft kiss on my temple, "The ship is set to dock tomorrow"

"Yeah?"

"I'm planning to take you and Arik to my villa-" He began as he was about to intertwine our hands.

I then withdrew my hand from his grasp, taking a step back. "I'm sorry, but Arik and I planned for me to go back to his house" I interrupted, now looking at the water as a distraction.

Diamanté remained quiet for a while, "Are you saying that this is goodbye?" He asked me.

When I didn't respond, he wrapped an arm around my waist while the other resting on my arm, resting his head on my shoulder.

"Alora... can't you at least give me some time until I can conceive of letting you go?" He added.

I couldn't help but find it cute and funny with our current position. "Diamanté, this isn't the end. I'll take time to visit, or you could even come visit me in Canada. You know the only reason I came down here was to save my brother... somehow, the two of us can make this work" I reassured, him soon looking at me with a shocked expression.

"You weren't intending to leave me?" He then asked.

"What?" I replied before I realized why he was so worked up, a laugh coming from me.

"Why would you think that? Diamanté, I like you as well" I told him before wrapping my arms around his neck.

"I love you, Diamanté. I know that you've never experienced anything like this, which is why I'm willing to wait for you. You're the one that I want" I added, feeling as he wrapped his arms around me.

"I guess today is our last day" Diamanté said as we clicked our glasses together, taking small sips of the drink.

It was now night time and Diamanté invited me to join him in the outside hot tub while everyone else went to sleep.

Diamanté was relaxed in the hot tub while I sat on the edge, swinging my legs in the water.
