Alora

I found myself deep in thought as I leaned on the door behind me.

Maybe Tristian was right.

From the very beginning, my true intention was simply to use Diamanté.

I was so convinced that my plan didn't change.

So why is it that I find myself wanting more when it comes to him and I? Even when I know that I shouldn't be having an intimate relationship with the man...

"Alora" Diamanté then spoke out from the other side of the door, causing me to jump as I was a bit startled.

I remained silent until I heard as he grabbed ahold of the door knob, "Don't come in" I said.

I was fighting with a big part of myself. About what? It was to the point where even I didn't know anymore.

Am I attracted to Diamanté?

What do I even see in him?

What does he see in me?

"Please, let me in Alora. I'm begging you" He pleaded. I felt as my heart began to race even more from his words.

Ever since last night, he hasn't been like his normal grumpy self. Diamanté has been more clingy... more vocal towards me.

Just as I was about to say something, the burner phone I had left on the counter began to ring.

I quickly went towards it, knowing that it had to be Arik calling. I then picked it up and answered, "Hello? Arik, is that you?!" I asked.

After a while he responded, "Alora! Are you alright?"

I couldn't stop the smile that formed on my face just from hearing his voice, "Of course I'm alright. Where the hell-" I began.

"You have to get out of there! What the hell are you doing in a place like that? Have you forgotten that Diamanté Rodríguez is apart of the mafia? He's a wanted criminal Alora!" He yelled out in disbelief.

I then turned around to see that the door was still shut, soon walking towards it. "I know that, Arik. I know that he's a mobster, but even so," I began before grabbing ahold of the door knob, opening it.

Diamanté looked at me before walking inside, shutting the door behind him. "I've made my choice and it's too late to turn back now. He's my best chance at finding you" I explained.

"He's dangerous! You could get seriously hurt, or maybe even worse!" He argued.

"I could say the same for you! Do you not know how worried I am? Where the hell are you?!" I asked him as I walked towards the table where I had a map of the city.

"I can't tell you anything too specific. They might be tapping my phone" He sighed out.

"Just give me your coordinates" I replied as I began jotting them down, drawing to see where he could possibly be on the map.

"Okay... just stay where you are" I demanded.

"Those bastards who said that you were dead, and the sons of bitches who decided to fuck with you... I'm going to kill them all" I said to him.

I heard Arik as he sniffed before responding, "I miss you Alora, and I know that you'll be able to find me. Just please... don't get yourself hurt" He replied before ending the call.
