Suddenly out of nowhere appeared none other than Helena Cassadine.

She said "I can't let anyone leave. I may have shot Valentin, but don't think I'm letting any of you just walk out of here."

John "Miss I don't know who you are but I need medical attention for my leg."

Helena "None of that will matter. Once I'm finished with you medical attention won't be necessary."

Dante "Helena what do you want with us?"

Helena "This friend of yours may have been Valentin's son but he's no real Cassadine. Especially with that retched mother of his Liesl Obrecht."

Dante "He's my friend and my partner. He's a good man. Let him go."

Helena "I can't do that Detective Falconeri. I can't let any of you go. Miss Jones will not be having a happy new year or a Merry Christmas."

Dante "You're an evil witch Helena. Someone should have killed you for good years ago."

Helena "I don't die easily Mr Falconeri. Your wife knows that. So did her father."

John tried to run to save Nathan when the gun went off.

Helena "That takes care of one of you. Now for the two detectives. Which one do I kill first? Falconeri or West?"

Dante "How about neither" as he shoots his gun at Helena.

Helena drops to the ground long enough to get Nathan free of his restraints and to run like mad.

As they approach the exit a gun is fired and luckily misses both Dante and Nathan.

They run outside and catch a way off the island.

Helena does everything she can to stop them.

Valentin moves but before he knows it John sits up and before he breathes his final breath he shoots Valentin three times in the chest and twice between the eyes.

Dante and Nathan reach the airport in Greece on the mainland and Dante's phone rings.

Lulu "Dante what happened? Where are you?"

Dante "I'm leaving Greece. I have a surprise. However Valentin is dead and so is John Riley."

Lulu "Wait Valentin? He is dead?"

Dante "I'll explain when I get back."

Lulu "Okay I won't tell Maxie anything."

Maxie woke up from her latest bout of sedative and said "You won't tell me what? Lulu I'm your best friend. What are keeping from me?"

Lulu "I seriously can't say. Don't make me. I don't know everything anyway."

Maxie "Please tell me what you do know. Lulu please. I need to know."

Lulu "Nope. I promised Dante. He will tell you when he gets home."

Maxie "Lulu seriously. I need to know. It's life or death. Stress could kill my baby."

Lulu "Doctor I think she needs a new dose of sedative."

Maxie "You're not getting away with this lulu" as the dr puts more sedative into her IV.

Twelve hours later Dante heads out of the airport to the hospital in Brooklyn.

He walks into Maxie's room right as the sedative wore off to tell her "I've got a surprise. Maxie are you awake?"

Maxie "Yes Dante what is it? What is my surprise. Only one thing will make me feel better."

Nathan peeks in the door after being checked out "Hi Maxie."

Maxie "Oh my god Nathan. You're okay. You're really here right? This isn't a dream?"

Nathan "No Dante saved me from my father and then Helena."

Maxie "Helena? What? When did she show up?"

Nathan "She showed up to kill Valentin but then said she would kill me Dante and that cop he was with."

Dante "I just got word that John Riley is dead. So is Valentin. It's official. Helena is still out there."
