Maxie got ready for Dr Curtis to examine the baby and Nathan sat by her side.

Dr Curtis put the jelly on her abdomen before using the wand and said "I see no internal bleeding or abruptus. I think it was just stress from your dream. I would continue to take it easy and let your fiancée here do all the work."

Nathan "I already was. I love her and I would do anything to make sure this baby is okay."

Maxie "How did I get the best man in the world to want to marry me? With everything I have done in my life I still managed to get him. He's the sweetest man I know."

Nathan "Maxie you're not as bad as you think. Especially knowing who my parents were."

Maxie "That I can't argue with. Your father was a horrible horrible man. I'm glad Helena shot him."

Dr Curtis "Sounds like some very crazy things have been happening in your lives since the last time you had a pregnancy."

Nathan "Crazy doesn't cover it. It was completely beyond belief. Everything."

Dr Curtis "Well take it easy Miss Jones I don't want to see you back here until you're in labor. Hopefully closer to your ninth month this time."

Maxie "I will. I promise. Nathan will make sure of it. He's got the rest of our wedding plans covered."

Dr Curtis "If this gets any worse I may have to advise on a later date."

Maxie "I am not canceling or postponing this wedding. Nothing is going to stop me from marrying Nathan on New Year's Eve. No one nothing and well okay maybe an act of god might."

A number of hours later Nathan was working his long shift and Maxie was at home with Britt and the girls when Lulu popped in forcing Britt to hide. She knew Lulu would tell Dante who would tell Nikolas and cause Nathan to arrest her.

Lulu "Why do I get the feeling you're hiding something? You seem really rushed to hide something before I came in."

Maxie "Nope I wasn't hiding anything. I have to go slow remember? Take it easy. Rest for my baby."

Lulu "If you say so Maxie."

Maxie "Yes it's true. Where is Rocco? Is he with you? Georgie has been begging to see him."

Lulu "He's with Olivia."

Georgie came charging into the room "Mommy. Mommy."

Maxie "What is it sweetie?"

Georgie "Mommy up."

Maxie "Mommy can't pick you up. Maybe Lulu can."

Lulu set Georgie next to Maxie on the couch and rested her head against Maxie.

Georgie "Mommy baby?"

Maxie "You will always be my baby but Mommy's going to have a new baby. Just like your sisters."

Lulu "Speaking of where are the twins?"

Maxie "Oh I hear them now. Can you get them?"

Lulu "Of course."

Lulu came back with Isabella and Angelica one at a time almost seeing Britt.

Isabella looked at Maxie smiling then crying "dddd."

Lulu "Wow she's already trying to say dada."

Maxie "Yeah they both have for a while. They also say mmmm when they try to talk to me. They're so cute but I wish they could say actual words."

Lulu "You know you don't want to miss anything. You missed five months of their lives and you don't want to miss anything else."

Maxie "Yeah it's like Georgie. I missed so much of her baby life I feel like I can't miss that with the twins or even this baby. I need that connection early on."

Lulu "I missed so much of Rocco not knowing he was mine. It wasn't until she finally admitted he was I had time with him."

Maxie "You at least saw him before you knew. I never had that chance."

Lulu "I know. So the shoes the dresses the cake the flowers the music and the invites have been dealt with what's left?"

Maxie "Pretty much making sure everybody shows up and it all goes smoothly. Even with Valentin dead I still feel like something could go wrong. Helena is out there. She could try something. She could fulfil Valentin's death threat by Christmas."

Lulu "Maxie don't think that way. I'm sure Helena won't kill Nathan."

A knock was heard at the door and Lulu came to open the door to see Nikolas.

Maxie "Who is it?"

Lulu "It's Nikolas. Should I let him in?"

Maxie "Why is Nikolas here?"

Nikolas "I am here to warn you that Helena is coming. I had kicked her out of town for a while and she's back. She is after Dante and Nathan."

Maxie "What? No. She can't. Not now. Not so soon to the wedding."

Nikolas "I was made aware of the threat looming over Nathan by his father and I don't doubt Helena will finish it herself."
