Nathan replied "I'm sorry.  Please tell Felicia.  She should know."

Maxie "Yes I will tell my mother right away."

Nathan "I'm so sorry.  He just dove in front of me.  He clearly thinks my life is more important than his right now."

Maxie "That's Mac for you.  Always putting others first.  Including if its a few months prior to their wedding."

Maxie called her mom "Mom?  I have some news."

Felicia "What is it sweetheart?  Is it the girls?"

Maxie "No the girls are fine.  It's Mac."

Felicia "What happened?"

Maxie "The guys were at the floating rib and someone came in shooting at Nathan but Mac stepped in the way.  He's the hospital right now in surgery.  Nathan and Jason are following the man who did it.  They don't know who he's connected to."

Felicia "I'll be over to help get the girls and see Mac now."

Once they got to the hospital they asked "Is he out of surgery yet?"

Patrick "Yes he is out of surgery but he's not conscious.  His brain was deprived of oxygen and he won't wake up from the coma yet."

Maxie "No.  You have to save him.  I need him.  My dad is barely around and I need Mac.  He's like my father."

Patrick "I know Maxie.  I'm doing everything I can to save him.  I just came to update you guys before going back and looking over his chart."

Felicia "Do everything you can.  No matter what the cost.  No matter what the risk."

Patrick "We don't know all our options yet but thank you for that."

Nathan and Jason finally tracked down this shooter and asked him "Who do you work for?  Who sent you to Port Charles?"

Man "I work for Valentin.  He sent me to kill Nathan West.  Which I should do."

As he points his gun at Nathan Jason tackles him and gets the weapon out of his hands.

Nathan "You certainly come in handy."

Man "Just because I failed at killing you doesn't mean someone else won't try again and succeed."

Nathan "You're going to prison so you won't know if anyone was able to try."

Man "I'll be released in a week."

After escorting the man to the lock up they went to the hospital to check on Maxie and Felicia.

Nathan snuck up on Maxie "Hey.  How are you?"

Maxie turned to face Nathan "I'm so glad you're okay.  I got your message and it scared me.  I couldn't deal with you being shot again.  It's happened too many times already.  Did you catch the guy?"

Nathan "Yes.  He was sent by my evil father."

Maxie "What he did send him here for?  Was that bullet truly meant for you?  Please tell me he didn't try to kill you?"

Nathan "I can't say that."

Maxie "Oh my god Nathan your father is the most despicable human on the planet.  He sends a man to kill his own son.  I don't know how you managed to be so sweet and loving and kind.   Your entire family is full of crazy lunatics."

Nathan "Well at least Nina has her moments."

Maxie "True.  She's still crazy though.  However Valentin does make your mother look sane."
